A little behind-the-scenes honesty… ☺️🌿
I know lots of you would love to see more videos of me making my products, and I completely understand. I love seeing the people behind the small businesses I follow, too!
The truth is, I'm trying! But capturing the making process isn't quite as easy as it might look-
For starters, I could really do with a second pair of hands 👐to help me get those lovely angles. I often forget to film anything when I'm in the flow, and when you're working with processes that are time-sensitive, you can't exactly stop halfway through to set up the perfect shot.
Then there's the fact that making things by hand isn't always quite as picture-perfect as it looks on camera. 🙈 I always start off clean and organised, but a little wax here or a splash of oil there, and things can get a little… well, messy 😂
And here's a little secret… 🤫 I often do a lot of my making in the evenings, wearing my comfy leisurewear, no make up. So, not exactly movie-star material!
But that's the reality of running a small, handmade business. It's me, my small studio, lots of lovely ingredients and a whole lot of care going into every batch.
I'll keep trying to share more of the process with you, even if it's not always perfectly polished. After all, there's something lovely about seeing how things are really made, isn't there?
