📣 Important update for schools regarding allergy awareness and anaphylaxis training!📣

Many schools will have heard discussions about "Benedict's Law" and what this may mean for allergy management and staff training.

The Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act now includes provisions relating to allergy safety in schools, and the Department for Education is expected to introduce updated statutory guidance from September 2026.
At present, the final guidance has not yet been published, so there is no confirmation of:

• Exact training requirements
• Qualification standards
• Training frequency
• Whether specific courses will be mandated

However, draft proposals suggest schools should be considering:

✅ Allergy awareness
✅ Recognising allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
✅ Emergency response procedures
✅ Use of adrenaline auto-injectors
✅ A whole-school approach to allergy management

We'll continue monitoring developments and sharing updates as more information becomes available, so that the schools that we work with remain compliant.

This week we have delivered a 3 day first aid at work course for an amazing school in the heart of Liverpool…. Right near Goodison park 💙

Looking forward to going back there in a couple of weeks to deliver a blended Paediatric first aid course.

⭐ We’re a Finalist! ⭐

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the judges from The BIBAs for the final stage of the judging process – 'BIBAs on Tour' – as finalists in the New Business of the Year category.

What an incredible experience! The judges were welcoming, engaging, and put me completely at ease, allowing me to share the story of Paradigm First Aid Training and the work we're so passionate about.

It was a real proud moment to talk about what we do, how we do it, and what makes our approach unique. Being able to showcase the impact we have on our learners and clients reminded me just how far we've come.

A huge thank you to all of our clients who took the time to provide testimonials in support of today's visit. Your feedback played a significant role in helping us demonstrate what sets us apart, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support. 💙

Today we have been back up to Workington in Cumbria to deliver an Accredited and Regulated Emergency first aid at work course for the amazing team at Cumbria Youth Alliance

They are an amazing organisation, doing some amazing work with, and for the young people in their region to enable them to reach their full potential. 💙

Today we have been near Penrith in Cumbria to deliver another Emergency first aid course for the amazing staff and volunteers of Cumbria Youth Alliance and Northern Fells Group.

Lots of practical time spent on topics such as Primary survey, CPR and AED use, Shock, Wounds and Bleeds, Seizures, Burns and scalds and more.

Today we delivered the practical session of a Blended Level 3 Emergency First Aid At Work course for the amazing volunteers at Hesketh Bank Christian Centre.
