🌟 Employees of The Month 🌟

For the month of July, we couldn’t choose just one employee for our employee of the month award so we had double the celebrations for our amazing staff, Diane and Sarah 💖

First up, we have Diane! Diane is our bank Team leader who has been with us for many years and her dedication to our home is second to none. She comes in to cover at the drop of a hat and her kind and caring ways shine not just over the residents but her team as well. Always bringing in goodies for the staff on shift to get them through it and she always goes the extra mile to ensure her residents have everything they need 😍

Next up is Sarah! Sarah only started with us in March this year, yet she has settled into her role amazingly. Always showing up to work wearing a smile, having a positive approach to care and her attention to detail is second to none 🥰

Well done Diane and Sarah, and thank you for all you do 🌟👏

Games with Grandma(s)! 👵👵👵

Our lovely Jenny had a wonderful visit with her grandsons, Connor and Dillon, who gained a few extra grandmas during a fierce game of Ker-plunk 😂

With Connor and Dylan not knowing how to play, our lovely ladies explained the rules and taught them both to play - such a heartfelt moment for everyone ❤️

What a bright and wonderful day thanks to our amazing families ⭐️

💖👑 Happy 100th Birthday Tess 👑💖

At the end of July, we celebrated a very special 100th birthday for our terrific Tess! Surrounded by her loving family, friends and staff of Stocks Hall, as you can see by the photos, she had a wonderful day of celebrations! 🥳

Her favourite guitar group came and played Tess her favourite song, “All The Nice Girls Love a Sailor”, and she sang her heart out! Being a Queen for the day, our staff made her some special pictures with her celebrity crush John Wayne and with Tess being in the Wrens, we put her in her uniform once again. Her children, her grandchildren and great grand children all surprised Tess at her party and her face lit up.

Home Manager Gel presented her with a beautiful bouquet flowers, along with lots of other sweet treats too - Tess loves her sweets. All our residents came to celebrate Tess and her special day she is so loved by everyone - Tess even got up and had a dance too 💃

And to top off her special day, she received her Telegram from King Charles… or Charlie to Tess as she met him before on one of our trips to Liverpool a few years ago! 🤴

From everyone here at Stocks Hall Ormskirk, a big happy 100th birthday to our Tess and big thank you to Ruth and Jenjira in the kitchen for lovely buffet and beautiful cake ❤️

Sweepstake Shopping Spree 🛍️💖

During the World Cup, our staff organised a sweepstake with a £15 prize for each of our 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. Our three lucky ladies were, Tess who had England, Bridie had Argentina and Dotty had Spain! 🏆

So, WISH Activity Team members Brenda and Lynne with Housekeeper Jenny took our ladies out last week to spend their winnings. Dotty picked up some lovely tops, necklaces and some lovely cuddly teddies. Tess got a nice coat, warm socks, a lovely little rag doll, and 2 nice tops. Bridie got some tops, a little cuddly rabbit and 2 beautiful necklaces. Finishing off at Costa Coffee for a post retail therapy treat 🥰

Everyone had a wonderful afternoon shopping and laughing together ❤️

Our Fantastic Summer Fayre ☀️❤️

Thank you to all who came down to support our home’s Summer Fayre on Saturday, it was a fabulous afternoon and we raised a whopping £520 🥰

WISH Activity Team Member Brenda says, “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated to our Fayre, we could not have done it without our staff, families, and residents help. Our residents Jenny and Jean were on the bric a brac stall all afternoon and they did a fantastic job!” 👏

Also an extra delicious thank you to our kitchen team Adele and Jenjira for making the most beautiful cupcakes! 🧁

☀️ Summer Fayre Sat 18th July ☀️

Please come on down this Saturday for our always fabulous Summer Fayre here at Stocks Hall Ormskirk! We have some great raffle prizes on offer from a drinks hamper, an air fryer, a car cleaning kit and hairdresser voucher ❤️

All money raised will go towards our Residents Fund to allow for more enriching activities and fun days out 🌟

🌟 Employees of The Month 🌟

It was too difficult to just choose one of our staff members for this month’s Employee of The Month award so we have double the celebrations instead 🥳👏

Congratulations go to our Care Assistant, Francis and our PA, Amelia! Both consistently go above and beyond for our home and so recognition must be given 🏆

Thank you Amelia and Francis for your passion and hard work ❤️

⚽️🏆 Celebraing The World Cup 🏆 ⚽️

We have had football fever at Stocks Hall Ormskirk thanks to the FIFA World Cup happening this month. Our residents and staff were practicing their celebrations with a real replica of the World Cup trophy! 🤩

WISH Activity Team member Brenda said,”Adele, our chef, her partner works for The LFC Foundation and Football For Humanity. He kindly lent us the trophy for our residents to hold before taking it over to Ethiopia the next day. Our residents loved it and it brought a smile to everyone’s faces!” 😍

We have also drawn our home wide sweepstakes and top prize is an all-inclusive trip to Costa Coffee… so competition is hot! Keep an eye on our page for updates ❤️⚽️
