Last May I watched the Leeds marathon runners come past our house, at that moment I decided I was going to enter in 2026. I started training aided by the NHS couch to 5k. A minute of running seemed to last an age , 5k took me a week to recover, but I kept going and a couple of weekends ago I managed 21 miles. It's been a hard slog but on May 10th I will be standing on the start line, ready or not. I have to say I'm somewhat terrified but determined to finish. If you could donate it would be amazing, the more money raised must at some point contribute to finding a cure for this horrible disease or something that can significantly slow it's progress. Thanks in advance, wish me luck. I'll post a pic of my medal when I get it.

All finished. Amazing to be part of a massive fund raising effort for this most destructive of diseases. Onwards now to the Rob Burrow marathon to try and raise even more money to help. Thank you to everyone who donated.

That's a wrap as they say. Thank you everyone who has been to see me in clinic this year. It's a privilege to be able to help you all. Wishing you all a peaceful and happy Christmas. See you all in 2026. Back in clinic on 7th January.
