Dan showing off his ball slam skills ! 💪

Dan has worked so hard on his catching these last couple years and he’s really starting to see the results 💙

Although this is a really fun drill , the benefits for Dan are far greater than just hand-eye coordination improvements - catching a weighted ball in one hand whilst stood really challenges Dan’s balance and it’s so impressive to see him stand independently throughout 💪

Corey smashing a superset of standing pull downs and weighted ball slams 💪

We use standing pull downs for several reasons;

- to develop the back muscle’s
- to challenge balance
- to create postural awareness (being stood correctly)

Weighted ball slams are incredibly useful for testing balance and co-ordination as well as allowing people to express power 💥

Too often the young people we train leave us speechless … here’s one of those times 🥹

Not many people see the journey and hard work that’s gone behind Fin doing this … but this is HUGE and I couldn’t be more proud 💙

High kneeling cable hip thrust 💥

When we work with clients we are always looking for exercises that suit them as an individual.

There really is no one size fits all with exercise prescription, particularly when working with additional needs, customisation and adaption are key 🔑

This exercise ticks all the boxes for Francesca:

Pain free ✅
Strengthens muscles that Francesca doesn’t use as much as others ✅
The exercise is performed out of her chair ✅
It can be easily replicated and tracked for progression ✅

The ticked boxes above arnt just things we look for as coaches , it’s a two way conversation with the client to find out what they like about an exercise too.

That conversation is the best way to find out if a exercise is good for your client too, simply by asking ‘how does this feel for you’ can give so much information on where you need to go next with your adaptations (or potentially not) 😁

It’s with great pleasure that we introduce to you Toby! 😁

Toby is the newest member of our team and will be working with us alongside his main job as a NHS Physiotherapist.

We are incredibly fortunate to have someone with Toby’s experience on board, his time in the NHS combined with his time on the gym floor as a PT gives him a huge depth of knowledge across both professions. 💪

Toby will be working with both adults and young people. He will also be playing a huge part in our Bright Futures project 💙

Incredible work from Drew today 🌟

Keeping his core and body balanced when the slam ball is above his head is far harder than he makes it look 💪

This is a fantastic drill for keeping things fun whilst creating great postural awareness and allowing the individual to express power 💥

Dan the man doing what he does best… absolutely nailing every exercise I throw at him ! 💪

Despite how easy Dan made this look, this core and balance drill is incredibly challenging 💥

The constant shifting of body weight from one arm to another , whilst changing the positions of the static arm, makes the body work in overdrive to maintain balance and structure 💪
