☕🌺 You're Invited to Our Community Coffee Morning & Poppy Unveiling 🌺☕
Join us at Watermeadow Grange Care Home on Friday 30th October from 10.30am to 12.00pm for a special Community Coffee Morning as we officially unveil our beautiful remembrance poppy displays, both inside and outside the home.
Our displays have been lovingly created through a wonderful community collaboration involving the children of Trinity CofE VA Primary & Nursery School, Mental Health Rocks, Topsham Museum Family Story Time Group, smock.club, Devon Memory Cafe Consortium, Armed Forces Community Support Hub - Devon/Exeter to name but a few. Their creativity and enthusiasm have helped create a truly meaningful tributes.
Outside, visitors will be greeted by a breathtaking display of more than 800 handmade poppies. This project has been a genuine labour of love, with contributions from our residents, staff, families, friends, and local community groups and together they have created something truly spectacular that we are incredibly proud to share.
As Remembrance Day approaches, this display gives us an opportunity to pause, reflect and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It is a chance to honour those who served, remember those who never returned home, and ensure that future generations continue to understand the importance of their courage and sacrifice.
☕ Everyone is welcome. Come along for coffee, cake, conversation and community spirit while admiring these stunning displays and sharing in this special moment of remembrance.
