📢 Important Update: Changes to Our Online Contact System

Dear patients of Pemberton Surgery,
We’d like to let you know about an upcoming change to the way you contact us online.
As part of a Greater Manchester–wide programme, GP practices across the region will be moving away from Ask My GP (and other systems) to a new online consultation platform called Accurx.

🟡 What you need to know
✔ No changes just yet
You can continue to use Ask My GP as normal for all medical and administrative requests. It remains fully available for the time being.
🔄 Change coming soon
We are currently preparing for the switch to Accurx. As soon as the new system is live, we’ll let you know straight away and send details on how to access it via text or email.

We’re confident this new system will make things easier for you:

✅ No account needed – no usernames or passwords to remember
✅ Quick and simple to use
✅ Secure and reliable
✅ Works alongside the NHS App – making it even easier to manage your healthcare in one place

What happened at our practice in May 2026.

- Ask my GP requests received – 2075
- Total appointments delivered – 2724
- Patients missed their appointment – 152
- Test results processed – 3543
- Fit notes issued – 165
- Prescriptions processed - 6180

A big thank you to our wonderful team and fantastic patients for another great month.

The number of patients missing their appointments without telling us went down marginally – but not enough!

We know life gets busy, and sometimes things just don't go to plan. All we ask is that if you can't make it, please let us know as soon as you can.

Unfortunately, because this is a continuing issue, we will be more strictly implementing our Did Not Attend (DNA) policy. The policy will apply to patients who continuously miss appointments without good reason and without letting us know. It could result in you being asked to find a new practice.
