Over the past two days, I’ve had the pleasure of delivering an Emergency Pool Responder course on behalf of MW Training

A huge well done to everyone who took part. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to learn have been fantastic throughout the course. From developing rescue skills to building confidence in emergency response situations, every candidate should be proud of what they have achieved.

What a fantastic week in South Wales!

Tomorrow is assessment day for this week’s NPLQ course!

🫀 CPR practice is one of the most important parts of any lifesaving course.

Using training mannequins gives candidates the chance to build confidence, practise correct hand placement, compression depth, rescue breaths and overall technique in a safe and supportive environment before facing a real-life emergency.

With the weather being so hot, we even took the classroom outside for part of the training ☀️ Giving everyone the chance to stay focused, comfortable and make the most of the sunshine while learning vital lifesaving skills.

The more you practise, the more prepared you become 💪

Great classroom facilities and pool setup for this week’s NPLQ course 👌

We’ve got a really good learning environment in place to support candidates through both the theory and practical elements of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. The classroom is set up for focused learning, discussion, and assessments, while the swimming pool gives plenty of space for realistic, hands-on training scenarios.

From rescue techniques to poolside procedures, everything is designed to help build confidence and competence in a safe, supportive setting.

Always proud to deliver courses that combine strong teaching space with a great aquatic facility.

This week I’m delivering an NPLQ course in a fantastic location, and it’s hard to complain when your office for the week looks like this. 🌊

It’s always great to meet new candidates, help develop lifesaving skills, and support the next generation of lifeguards while working in such a brilliant environment.

🚗 Next Stop: Wales! 🏊‍♂️

The car is packed and ready for another week away delivering an NPLQ course in Wales.

This one is a little bit different from the usual courses I run, which makes it even more exciting. I’m looking forward to a new challenge, meeting a great group of candidates, and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to become qualified lifeguards.

A busy week ahead, but that’s exactly how I like it! 💪
