Rainbow Child...
That's my brother Deno and me, years ago — I called him "fathead," and one look at that picture tells you exactly why. 🤣 He was a year older than me, a photographer by trade, and someone who understood light better than almost anyone I've known, though I have to doff my cap to my Dad who is brilliant photographer too.
Deno died in August 2012. In the weeks that followed, something strange and beautiful happened, rainbows appeared over our house, seemingly every single day. It felt like more than coincidence.
Last Tuesday marked the anniversary of his death. I was driving, and glanced in my rear-view mirror to catch this — a rainbow, right there, just as fleeting and just as perfectly timed as always.
Deno's favourite song was "Rainbow Child" by the Dan Reed Network. He had a way of finding light in things, and turning it into something worth sharing with everyone else.
That's the thread that runs through everything we do here. Every product, every decision — we're trying to honour a bit of that same instinct: find what helps, and share it.
