🌈👒 There’s no place like Michaelstowe! Today we stepped into the magical world of The Wizard of Oz by making our hats, watching the original film, and following the Yellow Brick Road together. We proudly added 5 miles towards our 100-mile goal — and we were delighted to be joined by Scrappy, who played the role of Toto perfectly! 🐾💛👟✨

This morning at Michaelstowe, we took inspiration from the classic Beetle Drive and enjoyed a fun Memory Walk game! 🚶‍♀️🧠

Residents answered yes/no questions about walking, sparking wonderful conversations and memories. Every “yes” meant drawing the next part of their hiker, with the first to complete their walker taking the win! 🏆💚

As part of our 1,000 Mile Challenge, we’ve proudly added 5 miles to our total. By adapting activities like this, we’re making sure everyone can take part, regardless of ability, so every resident can contribute to our shared goal.

🏅 Sports Day at Michaelstowe! 🏅
Today, our residents enjoyed a fun-filled Sports Day as part of our 1,000 Mile Challenge! From a variety of adapted games and activities around the home, everyone had the chance to get involved, no matter their ability. 💚
Every step, throw, and cheer brought us closer to our goal, proving that staying active is all about having fun together! 🌟

🚒 Our 1,000 Mile Challenge continues! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
Today, a group of our wonderful residents and staff visited Plympton Fire Station as part of our ongoing 1,000 Mile Challenge.
We enjoyed walking around the fire station, getting a close-up look at the impressive fire engines, meeting the fantastic local firefighters, and learning all about the important work they do. We even had the chance to dress up as a firefighter! 🔥👨‍🚒
A special shout-out to our resident Tony, who looked completely at home in the firefighter gear, we think he's definitely firefighter ready! 🚒👏
A huge thank you to everyone at Plympton Fire Station for taking the time to welcome us, show us around, and make our visit so enjoyable. Your kindness, patience and enthusiasm made the morning truly special for our residents and staff, and we are so grateful for your hospitality. ❤️
Every step we take brings us closer to our 1,000-mile goal, and days like today make the journey even more memorable!

🌟 100 Miles for July Challenge! 🌟
Our Managing Director, Richard, has challenged each of our homes to walk 100 miles throughout July – that's an incredible 1,000 miles across the group! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💙
Today, the residents and team from Michaelstowe joined forces with Manor House for a wonderful day out, enjoying a scenic walk along the beautiful Plymouth Hoe. 🌊☀️
The adventure was followed by a lovely picnic, some completely unintentional bird feeding courtesy of the very enthusiastic seagulls! 🐦😂, and we rounded off the day with a well-earned cup of tea in the café. ☕🍰
A huge thank you to Elisha and Beth from Head Office for coming along and helping us make sure as many residents as possible could enjoy the day. Your support meant so much! 💙
And, of course, a massive thank you to everyone else who helped make today such a success. It's amazing what we can achieve when we come together as one team.
Here's to smashing our 100-mile challenge and creating more wonderful memories along the way! 👏💙

⚽ What a fantastic evening out! Lauren, Sharon, Tony and Michael enjoyed the Plymouth Parkway 🆚 Torquay United match and even walked laps of the pitch at half-time, adding another 8 miles to their 100 Mile Challenge! 👏
Together they raised £58 for The Cinnamon Trust. 💜

Another 2 miles completed! 🎉 Lauren and Gina are making great progress towards our 100-mile challenge. 💚

Today’s walk took us along the river, where we spotted adorable baby ducklings 🦆 before treating ourselves to frozen lemonades from the McDonald’s drive-thru! 🍋🥤

Every mile counts—onwards to 100! 🚶‍♀️💪
