Sometimes the things holding us back aren't happening now.

They're echoes of old experiences, old messages, and old beliefs that we've carried for years without questioning them.

Hypnotherapy can help uncover where those patterns began and create new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.

Because you don't have to keep living from programming that no longer serves you.

✨ Which pattern are you ready to let go of?

For years, I thought my inability to ask for help was just part of who I was.

Independent.

Self-sufficient.

The one who always copes.

The one who figures it out alone.

But what I discovered during a regression session as a client was that this pattern didn't come from where I thought it did.

In fact, it came from somewhere I would never have consciously connected to my struggles as an adult.

That's the fascinating thing about our minds.

The behaviours, beliefs and emotional patterns we experience today don't always begin where we think they do. Sometimes their roots are hidden in experiences that seemed insignificant, were long forgotten, or happened at a time when we were too young to understand what they meant.

Yet the meaning we gave those experiences can stay with us for decades.

So if you struggle to ask for help, find it difficult to lean on others, or feel like you have to carry everything yourself, it might be worth asking:

Where did I learn that?

The answer may surprise you.

For a long time, I believed that if people really saw me, they might judge me.

Not because of anything major. Just one comment. A remark made by another kid years ago that somehow found a home in my subconscious and quietly shaped how I showed up in the world.

It's strange how a few words can stay with us for decades.

That fear of being seen has shown up in different ways throughout my life. Playing small. Overthinking. Worrying what people might think. Wanting everything to look polished before putting it out there.

But the truth is, I don't have it all figured out.

I'm a hypnotherapist. I've had the training. I've worked with incredible clients and seen amazing transformations.

And I'm also human.

I have my own experiences, my own challenges, my own stories that I'm still learning from.

So I'm making a conscious effort to show up more authentically. Less curated. More me.

Not because I think my experiences are unique, but because I know how many people carry old comments, old beliefs and old stories that continue to influence their lives long after they were first spoken.

Sometimes healing starts when we realise we're not the only one.

So alongside sharing what I've learned professionally, I'll also be sharing some of the lessons I've learned personally.

The messy bits. The human bits. The real bits.

Because connection doesn't come from perfection.

It comes from being seen.

Can hypnotherapy help with persistent worry?

It can help you step back from repetitive thoughts and respond in a calmer, more balanced way.

Rather than getting stuck in them, you learn to let them pass.

How many of us are still carrying around words that were spoken to us years ago… without even realising it?

A comment.
A criticism.

A moment that made you feel judged, rejected or “not enough”.

Even when the moment passes, the subconscious mind can hold onto it as protection.

And over time, that can show up as anxiety, overthinking, people pleasing, low confidence or constantly questioning yourself.

The truth is, what someone projected onto you often says far more about their own pain, beliefs or struggles than it does about your worth.

Healing isn’t about forcing yourself to “just get over it”.

It’s about gently teaching your nervous system that you are safe now.

This is why I love hypnotherapy.
It allows change to happen steadily, safely and in your own time 🤍

You do not have to carry someone else’s words forever. Rewire your brain.... rewrite the programme 💫

Rest is not a reward for exhaustion.
It’s a human need. 🤍

So many of us were taught that our worth is linked to how much we achieve, how productive we are, or how much we can carry before we break.

But when your nervous system believes you must constantly ‘do’ to be enough… rest can start to feel uncomfortable, guilty, or even unsafe.

So you push through the tiredness.
Override your body.
Ignore the signs.

Until stress, anxiety, overwhelm and burnout become the norm.

You do not have to earn rest.

You do not have to reach breaking point before you’re allowed to slow down.

Rest is a birthright, not something reserved only for when everything is finished.

And maybe healing starts when we stop believing we have to prove our worth through exhaustion.

When I first trained in hypnotherapy, I was taught that change should be quick. That most issues could be resolved in around four sessions.

And sometimes that is enough.

But over the last two years of working closely with people navigating anxiety, overwhelm, addiction, trauma responses and deeply rooted beliefs… I’ve learned that healing isn’t something that responds well to pressure or rigid timelines.

Your nervous system doesn’t always feel safe to unravel everything at speed.
Your subconscious mind often needs consistency, trust and repetition before lasting change can happen.

That experience has shaped the way I now work.

These days, I tend to begin with six sessions as a starting point — not because I want to keep people in therapy longer than necessary, but because I’ve seen the value in giving people the space to settle, process and change without feeling rushed.

And if fewer sessions are needed, that’s absolutely fine too.

For me, this work is no longer about “quick fixes”.
It’s about creating change that actually lasts.

Sometimes it’s not the one thing that overwhelms us — it’s the hundred tiny things we’ve been carrying for too long. Your stress bucket deserves air holes too.

Maybe you’ve been carrying stress for so long that it’s become your normal.

Maybe you keep telling yourself: “I’m fine.” “It’s not bad enough.” “I should be able to manage.”
But support isn’t only for crisis.

✨ The Hour of Calm is a monthly space to slow down, regulate your nervous system, breathe, reflect, and feel held for an hour.
