James Smith from DDC will be speaking at the Infection Prevention Society Care Home Special Interest Group meeting, exploring the often-overlooked infection prevention and control, antimicrobial resistance and health & safety risks within sluice rooms.

Using real-life examples, James will look at how room design, equipment, everyday practices and staff workflows can create risks, and the practical steps providers can take to improve safety and good practice.

As part of Infection Prevention Week, our latest blog explores the everyday surfaces that can create opportunities for cross-contamination in the sluice room.

Key touchpoints include:
