We love our music therapy sessions with Debbie, and Friday was a truly magical day. Our ladies and gentleman had a wonderful time coming together to enjoy the music, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and special moments shared throughout.

Debbie always brings such warmth and energy to each session, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels included and uplifted. It’s amazing to see how music can spark joy, encourage participation, and create lasting memories.

Yesterday was an extra special day for our Activities Coordinator Danielle and this lady resident. Shes spent some time building a rapport with her, and yesterday they had a 1-1 music session.

Our lady resident enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson with Danielle on her new CD player and was over the moon.

Music is a great way to engage residents who live with dementia, it can improve mood, support memory recall and aid communication. One to one sessions like these make a real difference to residents when they are made meaningful.

Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Rebecca Lucy to Hulton House for a special Musical Friday. Her fantastic performance brought the whole home together, with our ladies and gentlemen enjoying a joyful afternoon of dancing, singing, and shared laughter.

Music plays such an important role in wellbeing, helping to boost mood, encourage movement, and spark meaningful memories. It was truly a magical moment that created connection, happiness, and a sense of community for everyone involved—we cannot wait for the next one!

Art Therapy Wednesday

Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful session with Fay from Creative Mojo, who inspired everyone to express their creativity by crafting beautiful butterflies. It was a joy to see our ladies and gentlemen so engaged and proud of their creations.

Art therapy offers many benefits, including improving mood, encouraging self-expression, supporting memory, and providing a calming, meaningful activity.

Animal Therapy Tuesday

Today, our wonderful ladies and gentlemen enjoyed a very special visit from Oli at ZooLab, who introduced us to a fascinating range of animals.

Residents had the opportunity to interact closely with the animals, and many showed great curiosity and confidence—especially those who bravely held the snakes and cockroaches.

Animal therapy sessions like this provide meaningful benefits. They can help to stimulate memories, encourage communication, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of calm and wellbeing. These experiences also bring joy, spark conversation, and create shared moments.

A truly engaging and memorable day for everyone involved.
