📸 A hair transplant clinic can look completely different on a phone compared with what you find when you actually walk through the door.
I recently visited a clinic that, from everything I had seen beforehand, looked promising. In fact, it nearly caught me off guard.
But when I arrived in person, my opinion changed very quickly.
I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
And this is exactly where I think a lot of men can get caught out when researching a hair transplant.
You’re sitting at home scrolling through Instagram, Google and clinic websites. You see impressive before and afters, a professional looking clinic, thousands of followers and a price that seems good.
But none of that necessarily tells you what is actually happening behind the scenes.
Who will perform each stage of your procedure?
How experienced is the team?
What are the medical standards actually like?
Is the clinic giving you the right advice or simply trying to get you booked in?
This experience reinforced exactly why I put so much importance on personally visiting and vetting the clinics I work with.
A hair transplant is permanent. I wouldn’t recommend somewhere to one of my clients purely because it looks good on a mobile phone.
Sometimes you need to walk through the door.
