A little summer update ☀️

Over the last few months I’ve been reflecting on how I want to work, teach and share.

One thing I’ve become increasingly clear about is that I don’t need to keep adding more. Instead, I’m interested in deepening what is already here.

Part of that has meant becoming more curious about rest, space and what happens when I stop filling every gap with doing.

So, over the summer there will be a few changes to my offerings.

✨ Weekly classes and Psychotherapy sessions continue as usual

These sessions and classes remain at the heart of what I offer and I look forward to being with and practising with our wonderful communities each week.

✨ Yin Yoga will be taking a seasonal pause

Our candlelit Yin evenings will return in October as autumn arrives, complete with some lovely new warm blankets for those cosy evenings together.

This summer I’m choosing to spend more time receiving through movement, reading, study and research.

Not so I can do more.

But so I can continue to share from a place of depth, curiosity and presence.

Hello all, whether you’re stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time or returning to your practice, you are warmly welcome here ✨

My classes are beginner friendly and designed so that together we explore movement, breath, strength, ease, and rest in a supportive and welcoming environment.

This is a space to reconnect with yourself, tune into your body, and be part of a community. We move at our own pace, honouring our individual needs while exploring what is possible.

I know it feels more like autumn than spring right now 🍃 but the sunshine is coming ☀️ and tonight’s classes are an invitation to pause, breathe and reset midweek.

This month we’re exploring rest, softness and the balance between effort and ease — sthira and sukha — strengthening and softening, not as opposites, but as practices that can work together 🤍

🕕 6pm — Somatic Movement
A slow mindful practice all on the ground, helping release stress and tension held in the body.

🕢 7:15pm — Midweek Yoga Practice
A nourishing movement practice weaving strength and softness together, with an extra long savasana to help settle your nervous system and get you ready for a restful evening 🌙

No pressure to perform.
No need to force.

Just space to breathe, move and reconnect with yourself 💛

✨ Welcome June ✨

As May came to a close, I realised that my intentional rest practices has been quietly teaching me something.

Not because I’ve been doing less. But because I’ve been doing things differently. 🌿

Over the last month, I’ve been creating more space for yoga, walks with Darren and Indie, time in nature, slower mornings, afternoons with no agenda, reading in the sunshine, naps, connection and simply allowing myself to pause between one thing and the next.

This weekend felt like a beautiful reflection of that practice.

I’ve met new people and reconnected with people I haven’t seen for a while.

I’ve sat in the sun with a book.

I’ve worked up a sweat cleaning 🥵 (it’s true 😂).

I’ve walked.

I’ve practised yoga.

I’ve attended a breathwork experience.

I’ve sat in mantra and community.

And what I know is that rest isn’t always found in stillness.

Sometimes rest is found in movement.

In connection.

In laughter.

In nature.

In practices that help us come back to ourselves.

As I’ve slowed down, I’m becoming more aware of how often I have measured myself through doing, achieving, striving and being productive.l and how disconnected I can become from the moment.

What if we don’t need to earn our worth?

What if we don’t need to earn our rest?

What if creating a little more space allows us to discover that more of ourselves is available?

More awareness.

More choice.

More vitality.

More intimacy with life.

More of us coming online. ✨

This is the theme we’ll be exploring throughout June in classes as we work with the dance between activation and settling, effort and ease, movement and rest.

If you’re longing for a little more space, a little more breath and a little more connection with yourself, I’d love to welcome you onto the mat this month. 💛

Having been on retreats all over the world, I can honestly say, it’s not the packed schedules that stay with you.

It’s the moments where you finally exhale.

Where you feel like yourself again. Where you find yourself in the amazing energy of other women 🤍

That’s what this retreat is built around.

Space.
Connection.

Question….Would you come to a retreat on your own?

I did ☀️

My first yoga retreat was to Ibiza in 2018 (here are some pics). I didn’t know a single person. I remember feeling nervous, excited, and wondering if I’d made the right decision.

I left with friends for life. Laura, Lou, Karen, Jules, Louise amazing women that I still see and speak to all the time 🧡

It’s hard to put into words how much that retreat gave me, friendship, confidence, strength, space, laughter, rest. A remembering of myself.

At the time, I had a senior role in the NHS and a private psychotherapy practice. I was exhausted. I needed a break from constantly holding everyone else.

Yes, I left my husband and children at home and my fur baby 🐶 Winston 🤍
And no, I didn’t feel guilty.
I needed it.

I didn’t know this at the time, but I needed to be with women in a loving, supportive space. No competition. No judgement. Just connection. Joy 🥰

I needed time to read, to journal, to sunbathe, to chat, to breathe.

And I got all of that and more.

Funny enough, the thing I was MOST worried about was the food 😂
It was my first time eating vegetarian food and I genuinely thought… what if I don’t like it and everyone thinks I’m weird for not being veggie?!

OMG. The food was incredible. Retreat chefs seriously know what they’re doing.

So if you’re unsure, a little scared, wondering whether to come alone… I promise you, it might just be one of the best things you ever do.

So, if after reading this, your heart is whispering “maybe I need this too…”come and join us. Your room, your rest, your people are waiting ✨🤍

🏝️☀️🧘‍♀️📿🙏🏼One of the things I’ve really taken from all the retreats I’ve been on is how powerful the in-between moments are.

Not just the yoga.

But the slow mornings.
The conversations over the long table while eating delicious wholesome food.
The quiet moments by the pool, or the not so quiet moments of laughter and connection 🤍

The space where you’re not being rushed from one thing to the next.

That’s something I’ve intentionally created in Spain 🇪🇸

A rhythm that allows you to soften, not perform.

To rest, not keep up.

To connect, not just attend.
