Pedicure, Nail brace, Ingrown toenail, Nail reconstructions, Medical pedicure, Corn & callus removal, Verruca, Inserts, Relief... My name is Agata, but I prefer to be called Aga. I’ve been a beautician since 2014, and in 2017 I chose to specialise in foot care — a decision that led to the creation of AGA Happy Feet, a space where medical expertise meets warmth and creativity. In 2018, I graduated

from the Podiatry School in Poland, and I’m proud to be a Registered Practitioner – AHCP 8224194. All treatments are delivered in accordance with UK health and safety standards. I believe that every treatment is more than a procedure — it’s a moment of care, connection, and renewal. I combine clinical precision with a gentle, empathetic approach, always tailoring each session to the individual needs of my clients. I’m passionate about educating others on foot health, creating bilingual content, and designing elegant visuals that reflect the heart of my practice. Whether I’m treating a complex podiatry case or crafting a poetic response to a client review, I do it with intention, artistry, and gratitude.

Not every damaged nail is fungal.

Self-diagnosis can sometimes delay the correct treatment.

A proper assessment helps identify the real cause and create the right treatment plan.

It looked like a Verruca ....
The patient had already started self-treatment with a wart product purchased over the counter.

At first glance, I understood why.

But after careful assessment and a few gentle passes with a scalpel, a metal fragment appeared beneath the skin.

The area was infected and inflamed, with fluid collecting around the foreign body.

The fragment was removed; the wound was cleaned, dressed with Activon® Manuka Honey and protected with an offloading dressing.

Because the patient works in a hospital environment and the fragment resembled a needle tip, I advised reporting the incident and seeking further medical guidance.

Sometimes caution saves lives.

This case is a reminder that:

✔ Not every painful lesion is a verruca
✔ Self-treatment can delay the correct diagnosis
✔ A professional assessment can reveal the real cause

🚨 Emergency Appointment – It Was More Than Just a Nail Infection

This patient came to my clinic with a painful big toe and concerns about what he believed was a fungal nail infection.

At first glance, it was easy to understand why.

The nail was damaged, partially detached, inflamed, and showed signs of infection. The patient had already started self-treatment using a product purchased online, hoping to solve the problem himself.

However, after careful assessment and cleaning of the area, it became clear that this was not simply a fungal nail.

Under the damaged nail plate, a significant fibrous tissue growth had developed as a result of trauma and ongoing irritation. In addition, there were signs of bacterial infection contributing to the pain and inflammation.

The patient explained that part of the nail had been loose for more than a week. Unfortunately, delaying professional assessment allowed the condition to progress further.

This case is a reminder that not every nail problem is caused by fungus.

Nail trauma, bacterial infection, tissue overgrowth, ingrown nails and other conditions can often look very similar to patients.

👣 The good news? Treatment has now started, and we are already seeing positive progress.

If you notice pain, swelling, discharge, a damaged nail, or a nail that has become loose, don't rely on internet searches alone. An accurate diagnosis is the first step towards successful treatment.
