August is almost here, and with it comes the final stretch of summer. If you're feeling the fatigue, know that you've made it this far. That's worth celebrating.

Rest when you can. Your wellbeing matters just as much as theirs. 💙

Sibling squabbles, endless "I'm bored," constant requests for snacks—it's all part of the summer chaos. But here's the thing: your kids will remember the love and presence, not the perfect days.

You're doing better than you think. 💚

As August approaches, the end of the holidays is in sight. But if you're still in the thick of it, remember: you don't need to have it all figured out.

Some days, getting through is enough. And that's okay. 💙

When the holidays stretch on and patience feels thin, it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Your kids need a present parent more than a perfect one.

Take a break. Step outside. Visualise that perfect spot and Breathe. Even 10 minutes can shift your whole day. 🌿

Low mood doesn't mean you can't connect with your kids. It just means you need to get creative about what "connection" looks like.

Forget elaborate outings. Try these instead:
- Cooking something simple together (even if it's just toast with toppings)
- Listening to music and dancing in the kitchen
- Playing a card game or board game
- Building a blanket fort and reading inside
- Gardening together, even if it's just watering plants

The point? Activities that don't require you to be "on". They're low-pressure, low-energy, and they still create memories.

When you're struggling, simple is perfect. 💚

When you're feeling low, the pressure to "do" can feel suffocating.

You think: I should take them somewhere. I should plan something special. I should be more fun. But here's the truth – some of the best moments happen when you're just... there.

Try this: Sit outside with a cup of tea while they play. Read a book in the same room while they build. Go for a slow walk together. These aren't "nothing" – they're everything.

Your presence is the gift. Not your energy, not your entertainment. You. That's enough. 💙

Trauma, PTSD, and what helps most.

Not all therapy is the same, and not all recovery looks the same. 🌿

Evidence-based support, like EMDR, can help the brain process what feels stuck.

If you’re unsure where to start, I can help explain it simply.

Some days during the holidays, you wake up and the energy just isn't there.

Maybe it's the constant demands, maybe it's old stuff surfacing, maybe it's just exhaustion. Whatever it is, that low feeling is valid. And you still need to show up for your kids.

Here's the good news: you don't need to be energetic to be present. Simple activities work brilliantly when you're running on empty. A picnic in the garden. Building with blocks. Baking something easy. Movie time with snacks.

The magic isn't in the activity – it's in being together. Your kids don't need you at 100%. They need you, as you are. 💚

Trauma, PTSD and therapy. What’s true?

Not every stress response is “just in your head”. Symptoms can be real, and treatable.

Evidence-based therapy, like EMDR, can help reduce overwhelm and rebuild safety. 📘

Feeling stretched too thin this holiday?

You’re not alone. Many parents feel the pressure.

If you’ve experienced trauma, it can be even harder.

You don’t need to do it all. Your wellbeing matters just as much as your family’s.

Give yourself permission to pause today. Even a quiet cup of tea can help.

Take care of you. 💙
