📅 Missed appointments are on the rise again... and we'd love to bring them back down! 📉

Every missed appointment is time that could have been offered to another patient who needs to be seen.

If you can no longer make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer it to someone else.

A quick cancellation can make a big difference. Thank you for helping us make the best use of our appointments and support everyone in our community.

ADHD and Autism (ASD) Assessment Referrals
Right to Choose Referrals

If you wish to be referred through the NHS Right to Choose pathway for an ADHD or autism assessment, you will first need to:

Choose a Right to Choose provider by researching the available options online.
Complete the provider's required referral paperwork.
Submit the completed paperwork to the surgery.

If you have not previously discussed your symptoms with a GP, please book a routine GP appointment before submitting your referral request.

Please note:

We are unable to recommend or advise on individual Right to Choose providers.
We cannot process a Right to Choose referral until all required paperwork has been completed and received from the patient.
Medication and Shared Care

Please be aware that the practice does not enter into shared care agreements with private or Right to Choose providers for ADHD medication.

If medication is recommended following your assessment, this will need to be prescribed by your diagnosing provider. Alternatively, you may choose to be referred to the local NHS ADHD/ASD service. Following a full NHS assessment and diagnosis, prescribing can be transferred to the practice once an NHS shared care agreement has been received and accepted.

Please note that NHS waiting times for assessment can be significant.

NHS ADHD/ASD Referrals

If you would prefer to be referred directly to the NHS ADHD/ASD service, please book a routine GP appointment to discuss this. You will be asked to complete the relevant assessment questionnaires before a referral can be made.

If you are diagnosed by the NHS service and require medication, the practice can take over prescribing once the NHS specialist has established treatment and an appropriate NHS shared care agreement is in place.

This little cuddly companion was found all alone on Barrington Road and is waiting to be reunited with its owner. ❤️

If you recognise it, or know who it belongs to, it can be collected from Harborough Field Surgery reception during our normal opening hours.

🚧 Roadworks on Newton Road – Please Allow Extra Time 🚧

From 18th July to 31st August, there will be roadworks on Newton Road, which may cause delays when travelling to the surgery.

If you have an appointment during this period, please allow extra time for your journey to help ensure you arrive on time.
