Vaccines protect children from serious illnesses that can cause lifelong disability, hospitalisation, and in some cases, death.

Diseases such as measles, meningitis, whooping cough and polio have not disappeared — they return when vaccination rates fall. Children who are not vaccinated are at much greater risk of catching and spreading these infections.

Vaccination doesn’t just protect your child. It also helps protect babies, pregnant women, elderly relatives, and people with weakened immune systems who may be unable to receive vaccines themselves.

Vaccines used in the UK are thoroughly tested for safety and continuously monitored. Serious side effects are very rare, while the risks from preventable diseases can be severe.

If you have questions or concerns about childhood vaccinations, please speak to our team. We are here to provide trusted information and support you in making informed decisions for your family.

More information about understanding the risks can be found here:https://agilio-prod.altis.cloud/uploads/sites/275/2021/02/If-you-choose_EN_WHO_WEB.pdf
