🎤 When I was on stage recently, someone in the audience asked me: "What's the hardest thing about being a Beat My Addictions coach?"

💔 My answer? Knowing there are people out there suffering, sometimes our own friends, family and loved ones, and having to wait for them to be ready to reach out.

👭 When my sister first told me about Chris Hill, it took me 2 and a half years to pick up the phone. I'd known for years and years that I had a problem. Admitting it was the hard part.

🙌 But if she hadn't told me, I would never have done the programme. And I honestly know I wouldn't be here today.

🕊️ After 25 years of addiction, that one conversation gave me my freedom, and my life back. ✨

But we still urgently need your help. Ryde Hive CIC must bring our rent up to date by 26th October, or we will lose all three of our spaces on Ryde High Street.

We want to be completely open about where every penny of our £10,000 goal goes:

💛 £7,275 by 26th October brings our rent fully up to date, including this month's rent for 133 and 134 due on 21st October
💛 £750 by 7th November covers the rent for 132, our Ryde Thrift Hive shop
💛 The remaining £1,975 will help Ryde Hive CIC stand on its own two feet. Together with income from our shop, part of it will be kept as a buffer for future rent. The rest will go towards fully kitting out our Ryde Learning Hive, so it can host free workshops for the community and be rented out, bringing in a regular income to keep our doors open

Who we are:
Ryde Hive CIC supports people in recovery from addiction of any kind. We're here for everyone in Ryde, whatever their walk of life, and we're working towards:

🐝 Help for those facing domestic abuse
🐝 Support for carers and young carers
🐝 A community café for all
🐝 Free workshops and support groups
🐝 Children's and family activities

We've built all of this almost entirely with volunteers, and we're not ready to give up on it, or on Ryde.

How important do you think it is for people struggling with addiction to have access to the right help and support?

Behind every addiction is a person. A son, daughter, mum, dad, brother, sister, friend or loved one. ❤️

There are free addiction support groups available, but what happens when someone needs a different approach?

Should people have access to alternative ways of breaking free from addiction? And should that support be funded so that cost isn’t a barrier?

At The Inside Method, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to find freedom from addiction.
