🤍 Happy Father’s Day to all the super Dads out there. This year, I decided to share a photo of my lovely Dad. Some of you will know that we lost him last year, however he very much lives on in my heart and was key to the founding of MCP.

🤍 You see, Dad has always been a great source of inspiration to me, working as a General Surgeon and dedicating his life to the NHS.

🤍 He had such a strong sense of professional pride and I have always felt so proud of his work and all the lives he saved. He put me off being a doctor, and I’m grateful for that too!

🤍 Whilst I don’t save lives like Dad did, I do share his fascination of the human body and his passion to make a positive difference to people’s health.

🤍 As champions of the NHS, both Mum and Dad were concerned about me leaving the NHS 15 years ago to set up MCP, however seeing the changes that there had been in the NHS in the 13 years I did work there, I knew there was the need to offer families an affordable bespoke, private physiotherapy service.

🤍 I absolutely love doing what I do and feel incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful job, working with so many incredible families, so thank you for trusting me, Jenny and Helen to provide your child’s physiotherapy. I think Dad might even be a little bit proud of what we’ve achieved too! Oh and in case you’re wondering what the white heart emoji was for, Dad was a Yorkshire man through n through! 🥰🤍🥰

⭐️ Our Baby MOT can be done at any age. The aim of the screen is to identify any underlying/ potential issues as soon as possible.

⭐️ We do not over treat and a big part of our role is to provide reassurance to new parents and give you useful advice to promote gross motor skills and general development.

⭐️ Whether you’re 5 or 75, these simple exercises will help strengthen/maintain your core muscle strength.

⭐️ You don’t need any fancy equipment, but a few simple toys or a ball to throw and catch whilst balancing in half kneeling, can make them more fun.

⭐️ All you need is 5-10 mins and enough floor space to lie down.

🏃🏻‍♀️ This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and this year’s theme is Action. are asking people to join them in taking action to support good mental health.

☀️ This week, why not try and find one positive action that boosts your mental health.

☕️ Is there anything you can do to help support a friend, colleague or member of your family who is having a tough time?

🧘🏼‍♀️Those that know me, know that I am a big advocate for mindfulness, yoga, journalling, and being active. In fact, my work day doesn’t start until I have done all these things!

🌷 Over the next few days I plan to share a few things that help me feel calm and spark joy in the hope of inspiring just one person out there to try something new to support their mental health ☺️
