I took a moment recently to look back at just how far I've come.

And honestly… WOW. 🥹

Nine years ago, I started with baby massage and baby yoga.

From there, I built and grew a business from scratch.

I became one of the leading baby massage and yoga teachers locally.

I expanded into women's pelvic floor health, helping women recover from diastasis recti.

I held pregnancy workshops, taught one-to-one birth preparation, attended shows, trained and worked alongside other women, and watched women go on to build their own businesses and pursue new ventures.

I've taught personal training, helping women learn to love and appreciate their bodies, whatever their size, shape or abilities.

There have been Wild Women Woodland adventures, workshops, events, and so many ideas brought to life.

And somewhere amongst all of that, I was so busy trying to keep growing, achieving and being the best that I forgot to stop and look at what I'd already done.

So I did.

And for the first time in a while, I felt genuinely proud.

I built all of that. From scratch. I made that happen.

And I did it myself.

But I also know what it cost me.

The pressure to keep showing up. The social media. The constant striving. The feeling that I always had to do more.

Growing up feeling rejected, different and not quite good enough, being successful meant more to me than I fully understood at the time.

Therapy has helped me see that I don't have to keep proving my worth.

I don't need to be the biggest.
I don't need to be the best.
I don't need to be everywhere.

And here we are… just me again. 😊

Back with my own ideas, my own dreams and so much still to grow.

But this time, I want to grow differently.

I want peace.
I want genuine connections.
I want beautiful, low-key events and meaningful workshops.
I want a small, loyal community of women who feel at home in what I create, who bring their friends along and who grow alongside me.

I want to build something that feels good to live, not just something that looks good from the outside.

To those who've been here since the beginning, thank you. And to those who are only just finding me, welcome. 🥰

🍂☀️ 10km walk, autumn sunshine and a HUGE reminder of how far I’ve come… ❤️

Today we went for lunch at our first all-you-can-eat buffet since I stopped restricting.

And the old me? This would have been a BINGE NIGHTMARE.

I would have eaten everything in sight because I knew Monday meant going back to dieting and restricting. Eat it all now because soon it would be off-limits again. Sound familiar? 🥺

But today was different. And my goodness, it was EMPOWERING. 🫶

I looked at the food. Chose what I fancied. Ate what I wanted. Stopped when I was full.

I didn't feel the urge to pile my plate high just because I could. And dessert? I didn't want it because I was full. Not because I was being "good" or restricting.

And THAT is food freedom. ❤️

When you stop labelling foods as forbidden and stop living by the rules of your next diet, food can start to lose its power over you.

No more "I'll start again Monday."

No more "I need to eat it all now because I won't be allowed it later."

No more feeling physically sick because you've eaten as much as possible before restriction kicks in again.

Just eating, enjoying and moving on with your day.

Because freedom isn't eating everything in sight. It's knowing you CAN have what you want without feeling you HAVE to eat it all today. ✨

This is why a non-restrictive approach matters so much. Not perfection. Not willpower. But trust, flexibility and learning that food doesn't need to control your life.

And if you're still stuck in the restrict-binge-start-again-Monday cycle, please know there IS another way. ❤️

I will be sharing more about ME as a personal trainer and my life without food restriction as we go along.

🌱 As you know may or may not know Sophie has decided to leave Wild Roots to embark on a full time position at a care home and while that chapter is coming to an end, I promise… something is changing here......

Behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly planting a few little seeds of my own. 🌻 Back to just little old me where I first started over 9 years ago on my own with Relax my Baby.

I’m not quite ready to tell you everything just yet… but things are happening, ideas are growing and something new is beginning to take shape.

Sometimes you just have to trust the timing, plant the seed and let things flourish in their own time. 🌿

So… stay tuned.

There’s a little something growing behind the scenes. 🤍

Things happen at the right stage. ✨

Right seed. Right season. Right time.....

🌿 Something beautiful is taking shape…

Sometimes life creates a little bit of space a change for a reason.

And when it does, you start to notice all those little dreams and ideas that have been sitting quietly in the background… waiting for their moment.

I don't know exactly what this is going to become yet.
I'm not sure where it's going to lead.
But I know there are things I've wanted to create for a long time.

Little ideas. Big dreams. Things that make me feel excited.

So I'm giving myself permission to start.
To explore.
To create.
To try things.
To take my time.
Ive learnt to trust the universe, reasons for things meeting people ...
And to let it unfold naturally. 🌱

Maybe something beautiful will grow from it.
For now… I'm just planting the seeds. 🌸

✨ More to come… ✨ follow along with me 🥰

✨ Have you ever felt like the universe was trying to tell you something? 🌿🦉

You’re out walking and a deer appears from nowhere. A feather lands at your feet. You keep seeing the same number, or something happens that makes you stop and think… hang on, is this a sign?

On Saturday, I was out walking when an owl swooped down the path in front of me. Not once, but TWICE! 🦉

Of course, I had to look up the spiritual meaning.

Owls are often associated with intuition, wisdom, transformation and new beginnings. They can symbolise seeing things more clearly, trusting what you feel and finding the courage to move forward, even when you can't yet see the whole picture.

And honestly? The timing felt pretty significant for me. 🤎

I'm at a point in my life where I'm allowing things to unfold, trusting my intuition more and slowly piecing together the things I've been dreaming of creating.

So perhaps this was a little reminder to keep going. To trust the path I'm on, even if I don't have all the answers yet.

And isn't that the beauty of intuitive living?

Sometimes we miss a business opportunity, only to discover something better further down the line.

Sometimes we end up at the wrong group, take a different route or change our plans, and meet someone who becomes important in our lives.

Sometimes we get that little gut feeling we can't explain. Something tells us to pause, turn left instead of right, or pay attention to something we might otherwise overlook.

We can't always explain these moments. And not everything has to be a sign. But I believe there's something beautiful about slowing down, noticing what's happening around us and being open to what those moments might mean to us. ✨

What if we stopped trying to control every step of the journey and started trusting ourselves a little more?

Maybe the universe isn't always shouting at us. Maybe sometimes it's in the quiet moments, the unexpected detours and the things that make us stop and pay attention.

🌙 I'd love to hear your stories!

Have you ever experienced something in nature, had a gut feeling or experienced an unexpected twist that you felt was guiding you somewhere?

Today was truly magical. ✨
If I'm honest, I was really nervous.
I haven't held a retreat in over two years because they often left me completely exhausted and burnt out. But today felt different.
I prepared everything the day before, had the most amazing support from my beautiful assistant Rose (who made sure I actually stopped to drink and eat!), and for the first time I left feeling full instead of depleted.
Together we shared a gentle somatic yoga practice, Yoga Nidra, plenty of doggy cuddles, a beautiful Holding Space Ritual, a delicious lunch, a mindful walk in the sunshine and a deeply relaxing sound bath.
My heart is so full. Thank you to the seven wonderful women who trusted me and shared this special day with me. You made it everything I hoped it would be. 🤍
I'm already dreaming up the next one... a Winter Wreath Making & Wellness Retreat. 🍂✨
If you'd like first access when it's released, send me a message or comment below. My WhatsApp community always hears first, and retreat spaces usually fill before I even get chance to post them on social media.
Thank you for supporting this little dream of mine.
Lots of love, Gemma 🤍
