We just had to share this lovely moment celebrating our brilliant Josh!

Josh has been doing amazingly well during his work placement at Beggars Belief Café, and we are so proud of the progress he continues to make.

He works hard, brings such positivity, and is becoming a valued part of the team. One of his lovely work colleagues even knitted him his very own mini Josh in a Leeds top, complete with a trophy and honestly, it could not be more perfect.

Josh, we are so proud of you. Keep being you, you’re doing brilliantly! 💙🏆

On Thursday our students designed and made their own mocktails as part of our weekly enrichment sessions 🍹☀️

With this heat, the mocktails were definitely needed! The students worked brilliantly together, experimenting with different flavours, creating their own recipes and adding the all-important fancy umbrellas.

A clear favourite was Josh’s creation: The Benidorm Special which is orange, apple, cranberry, lemonade and, of course, a cocktail umbrella to finish it off! 🏖️🍊

Well done to all the students for getting involved, being creative and making it such a fun afternoon.

Our fabulous daughter Bee, Bee Kerr Photography bee.kerrphotography to follow her journey, is running her first marathon in Edinburgh tomorrow. She’s been training since January and is both nervous as hell and excited as a puppy.
She is doing this to raise money, for a very personal to us as a family, charity called Papyrus papyrus_uk PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de

Having my son Donatel choose to die by su***de a little over 6 years ago, aged just 19, still rocks the foundations of my very soul. I miss his laughter and our chats every day.
This fundraising supports this amazing charity in so many ways to offer support, guidance and a listening ear to other young people not coping in their daily life, as well as supporting families who have a suffered a loss such as ours.
Please, if you can, spread the word and the love for Bee competing - and completing - her first marathon.
She sets off from Potterow in the heart of Edinburgh tomorrow morning 1020hrs and is planning on completion in 5.5hrs at Musselburgh Race Course that afternoon.
We thank you for sharing and supporting this much needed charities essential work

Supporting Choice is delighted to celebrate the success of one of our fantastic learners who has received a Volunteer Certificate in recognition of his contribution to Community Furniture Stores.

It has been brilliant to see such commitment, responsibility and the development of key employment skills, all while making a real difference in the community. Well done, Jacob, and a big thank you to Alice, Mandy and all of the team at CFS for their continued support.

Jacob is currently in Year 1 of his Employability Pathway, which will eventually lead to a Supported Internship. If you would like to find out more about any of our Employability support provisions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Supporting Choice had the opportunity of spending the morning at George Pindar School supporting their staff team, and Year 11 students, with mock interview sessions.

It was great engaging with so many impressive young people and assisting students to prepare for their next steps whether that’s further education, apprenticeships or employment. Great to meet a few students looking at joining Supporting Choice on our Employability provision.

A big thank you to Jo and the staff team for accommodating Sophie and Jarvie, our job coaches.
