The greatest thanks are often the simplest. 🌿 🥒🍅

This beautiful bowl of home-grown produce was gifted to our Funeral Director, Kay, by a family she recently had the honour of supporting.

It’s moments like these that remind us that the relationships we build with families don’t end when the funeral is over. The kindness and appreciation shown to our team means more than words can say.

Thank you for your generosity and for allowing us to be there for your family.

From everyone at Eric Eyre Funeral Service, we wish you a peaceful Sunday filled with love, comfort, and treasured memories. 💙

✨ A very special journey to their forever home… ✨

Today, Isabelle Bear 🧸 and Piper Bunny 🐰 begin their next chapter. Lovingly handcrafted from treasured clothing belonging to a loved one, they carry more than fabric and stitches …… they carry memories, comfort, stories and connection. 🤍

These keepsake companions are created to give families something gentle to hold onto ….. a familiar touch, a reminder of shared moments and a lasting way to keep someone close.

Working closely with Bee Belles Keepsakes, we feel honoured to help create such meaningful keepsakes and to be trusted with turning cherished clothing into something that can be hugged for years to come.

Wishing Isabelle Bear and Piper Bunny so much love as they settle into their forever home 🤍✨

☀️ Staying Safe in the Hot Weather ☀️

As temperatures rise, it's important that we all take a little extra care of ourselves, our families and our neighbours, especially older adults and those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

At Eric Eyre Funeral Service, we are proud to support our local community and would like to share a few simple tips to help everyone stay safe and comfortable during the warm weather:

✅ Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.

✅ Keep Your Home Cool – Close curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day and open windows when temperatures drop in the evening.

✅ Avoid the Midday Heat – If possible, stay indoors between 11am and 3pm when the sun is at its strongest.

✅ Dress for the Weather – Wear loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing and a hat when outdoors.

✅ Check on Loved Ones & Neighbours – A quick phone call or visit can make a big difference, particularly for elderly relatives or those living alone.

✅ Look Out for Signs of Heat Exhaustion – Dizziness, headaches, excessive sweating and fatigue can all be warning signs that someone needs to cool down and rehydrate.

❤️ A little kindness goes a long way. If you know someone who may be struggling in the heat, take a moment to check they're comfortable and have everything they need.

Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the sunshine responsibly.

Father’s Day can be a beautiful celebration, but it can also be a deeply challenging day for those missing their dads, grandfathers, or father figures.

To everyone navigating grief today: please be gentle with yourself. Your bond does not end because they are gone and their love remains woven into who you are.

We are holding our community close in our thoughts today. 🤍
