Following the completion of his MHFA Course, Chris as signed up for the Orange Button initiative, which aims to raise awareness of su***de awareness. The initiative is a joint venture between the NHS, Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council and by wearing the orange badge shows you are happy to talk to someone who may be having suicidal thoughts.

I have just completed my two day Mental Health First Aid Course for MHFA England. It was superbly delivered by Vicky Dudley of Joint Training and its well worth attending if you have an interest in Mental Health issues.

Well, I attended a cracking workshop today on 'Emotion Coaching'. It dispelled a few myths about this approach and gave clear guidance on how it should be used correctly. There was also considerably discussion on how this could be used in an outdoor group setting when there are several competing objectives.

That's a wrap for another Mountain Leader Expedition for Paul Poole Mountaineering. Thankfully, it was much cooler than the previous one!

Normally, I am complaining about the wet weather on my ML expeditions for Paul Poole Mountaineering but my latest expedition was the warmest one I have ever done 🥵.

Despite the heat, these candidates never put a foot wrong and well done on completing your Mountain Leader.
