I thought I’d share a little more about me, the face behind Libelle Hypnotherapy 🤍

“Libelle” is the German translation for Dragonfly. The Dragonfly felt like the perfect symbol for the heart of my work, and is something I’ve always felt connected to and comforted by in terms of their spiritual meaning.

They symbolise transformation, adaptability, and the deep wisdom that comes with embracing change. They can remind us to see beyond illusions, trust our inner vision, and find lightness in the present moment, no matter how turbulent the waters that we’ve emerged from.

Being a safe space for others to feel seen, heard and understood is so much more than my job, it feels like my purpose and calling, and that’s something I never take for granted.

It’s such a privilege to sit with my clients each week and hear about their “glimmers” - those moments of joy, peace, connection, what grounds them in the present and progress they’ve noticed throughout their week.

Watching people begin to recognise these moments more often, as they notice the positive shifts in themselves is something I feel deeply grateful to witness.

Every person who trusts me enough to share their story, their struggles, and their hopes for their future reminds me why I do this work. There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing a client at the end of their journey so pleased that they decided to do this for themselves.

Thank you to my clients - past, present, and those I’m yet to meet for choosing me to help you live happier and healthier lives.

It’s my mission to increase awareness of this positive and holistic approach to mental health so people feel less alone, and can be supported at their own pace to greater mental and emotional wellbeing.

Feeling overwhelmed and feeling completely drained aren’t the same thing, but we often treat them like they are.
Stress usually comes from too much. It can feel like pressure, urgency, and having more on your plate than you can handle. Burnout is different. It’s what happens when that stress goes on for too long. It can feel like exhaustion, numbness, and having nothing left to give.
Understanding the difference matters, because they don’t need the same kind of care.

I’m so pleased to share a new way of working with me -
Welcome to Walk & Talk Therapy 😊

As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I help teenagers and adults suffering with anxiety related issues feel back in control, experience calm and build their self confidence to live happier and healthier lives.

My sessions are a combination of Positive Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. With Walk & Talk Therapy, we take the Positive Psychotherapy outdoors, incorporating gentle movement and mindfulness in nature. You will be provided with a relaxation track (hypnosis) to listen to in the comfort of your own home to support and enhance the work we do together in and between sessions.

Walking in nature has so many benefits for both our physical and mental health. My Walk & Talk sessions can offer you therapeutic support with the calming, restorative benefits of the natural environment.

Walking helps us to:

🥾Relieve overwhelm & avoid burnout
🌿 Boost mood and energy levels
💤 Improve sleep drive & quality

Before Walk & Talk Therapy can commence, an initial consultation is required. This can take place either in person at Skipton Therapy & Wellbeing or online via video call - whatever suits you best. Walk & Talk sessions will then take place in the beautiful local area around Skipton.

I currently have space to take on new clients. I work with both teenagers and adults supporting them with the following;

Hello local community 👋🏻 I am pleased to announce I will be opening up spaces to work with some new clients in April. 🌼

I support teenagers and adults to feel happier and calmer with a renewed sense of confidence and control to create positive change in their lives. My therapeutic approach is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy - a gentle and effective blend of talking therapy and hypnosis.

It’s a positive, holistic and practical approach that focuses on your preferred future, tailored to your own unique experiences and without the need for to relive, analyse or expose you to the past or traumatic events.

As we move into spring, a season that feels like a welcomed fresh start and new beginnings, you might be noticing a shift within yourself too.

Perhaps you’ve been carrying something for a while and are now feeling ready to explore it and make a positive change.

As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I support teenagers and adults to create positive change in their lives.

Whether it’s stress and anxiety, low mood/low confidence, difficulties with sleep or maybe you’ve got a habit you’d like to break or a fear/phobia you’d like to address.

I guide you to move forward in a way that feels achievable and manageable. And just to note that for phobia work, there is no direct exposure necessary in my solution focused approach.

Together we focus on where you want to be and how you’d like to feel rather than where you’ve been. We work in a positive forward focused way without having to revisit, relive or analyse ourselves and past experiences.

I am pleased to say that I have some spaces become available to take on some new clients from April. I offer a calm, supportive space to help you create meaningful positive change in your life to live happier and healthier.

Everything begins within our imagination. 💭

The place where patterns are first formed and, importantly, where they can be changed.

In hypnotherapy, visualisation gives you a way to gently rehearse new responses, creating different emotional and behavioural pathways instead of repeating the same unhelpful cycles that may be keeping you stuck, holding you back, and making your world feel smaller.

Because these patterns are held in the subconscious mind, simply “thinking differently” isn’t always enough.

Traditional therapies work with the conscious mind only, which can help to a certain degree of course.

With solution focused hypnotherapy you get the best of both worlds. A type of talking therapy complemented with hypnosis.

This means we work with both the conscious and subconscious minds. We bring them together in focus with what you wish to achieve, so that you can get the very best out of yourself.

With guided relaxation and imagery, we can access that deeper level of the subconscious where our problems stem from. We can work with old associations, and begin to reframe them over time.

What you repeatedly experience in the mind, the subconscious accepts as familiar, and strengthens this pathway in the brain. What is repeated in the mind becomes our default.

This is why we can begin to make any positive change you are seeking feel more natural and automatic over time. This is why I give you a recording to listen to consistently between your sessions.

Through neuroplasticity, positive change becomes automatic and long lasting.
