This weekend we will be heading to The Wonder of Wood Fair. There will be music, stalls, demonstrations and so much for the whole family to get involved in 🌳

The Wonder of Wood Fair 2026 is back with more than 70 stallholders bringing you a wonderful mix of crafts, gifts, food, demonstrations, handmade products and woodland-inspired finds.
It’s the perfect chance to browse, discover something different, support local makers and enjoy a brilliant family day out.

We have had a little seasonal shop update lately, moon and slice pendants inspired by the abundance of the hedgerows and orchards just now 🍎

The Apple tree is a delight to behold at any time of year, full of the sweetest smelling blossoms in the Spring, and heavy with nourishing fruits in the Autumn, its gnarled and twisty branches remind us of magic on those dull Winter days.

Apple trees are steeped in folklore and have long been a symbol of love, abundance and magic throughout the world.

It has been a real joy feeling the relief that the recent rain has brought to the land. Hawthorn leaves that had been looking so tired and dry, now appear glossier and greener almost overnight.

The hedgerows are bountiful and so resilient and have really inspired our making just lately.

We found a beautiful spot to spend yesterday afternoon whilst we photographed the new pieces that we have been working on.

I wasn't sure if I would get round to making our beloved Elderberry syrup this year, but we stumbled across so many today, perfectly ripe and incredibly abundant so saw it as our sign to gather a few bunches, along with some Rowan berries. As they stew away with some ginger and cinnamon, I feel so grateful for the support I know they will bring to the colder days ahead...

We love travelling in late Summer as the land ripens and the light becomes more golden.

After a long, hot, season filled with events and moving, we had a week free and headed up through Yorkshire towards Northumberland where the Heather bloomed and the Rowan trees captivated us at ever turn.

We swam, walked, slept in wild places and foraged for bilberries and raspberries, including some leaves for tea.

And before we pack up the van ready for September's events, we had a big mission in mind. After 5 years of living, travelling and working in our van, it has been in need of a bit of TLC and so we have spent the past week or so renovating! More on that soon...

We received this beautiful feedback last week from a customer, who has built up quite a collection of tree energy pendants over the past couple of years.

When we read these words, we instantly felt a sense of feeling seen and understood. As though what we hope to share with others, had been felt by somebody else.

Creating our Wild Jewellery was always a way of sharing connection to the wild world that we love so much.

We gather each piece of windfallen wood respectfully. We craft tactile pieces that have been guided by the wood, to be worn in connection to the tree from which they came, still living and thriving in the wonderful wild 💚

To me, the Willow tree has become a feature of so many Summer afternoons. A welcome space to sit and rest for a while, to retreat from the heat of the day, to watch the world go by. Held between worlds; earth, sky and water.

Willow trees have such a calming energy, the way their pale, slender leaves flutter in the breeze, as the light that ripples across the water reflects upon them, dancing, flowing.

This is a tree thats roots submerge beneath the water as they stretch out along the river banks, waiting for the light of the full moon to reveal their true beauty ✨️

The Midlands Festival of Nature was a wonderful event this year, and are currently looking for traders who share and celebrate a love of nature and craft sustainably - do have a look to see if this may be a good fit for you 🌿

STALLHOLDERS WANTED | MIDLANDS FESTIVAL OF NATURE 2027

We’re now looking for stallholders, makers, activity providers, community groups and food traders to join us for the Midlands Festival of Nature 2027.

Taking place at Wicksteed Park, Kettering, on Saturday 29 May 2027, the festival is organised and delivered by Kettering Nature Group (KNG) and brings together people, organisations and businesses with a genuine connection to nature and the environment.

We’re particularly interested in:

Nature-focused organisations and conservation groups
Nature-inspired and sustainable crafts
Wildlife and nature activities for families and children
Natural, locally produced and environmentally responsible products
Artists and makers inspired by the natural world
Interactive activities, demonstrations and experiences
Nature-friendly, ethical and locally sourced food and drink Independent food traders with a strong sustainability ethos

We want the festival to feel different from a conventional craft fair or commercial event. Nature should be at the heart of what you do.

If you make, sell, demonstrate, teach or serve something that fits that ethos, we’d like to hear from you.

It has been a long, hot Summer and as people who spend as much of our time outdoors as possible, we have been so very grateful for the shade and sanctuary of so many wonderful trees this year! 🌳

You all know we could celebrate trees forever more, but during Summer months, trees can block out up to 90% of solar radiation. They release water vapour from their leaves which cools the ambient temperature by up to 8°C in urban areas, with surface temperatures up to 29°C lower in their shade. Planting and caring for trees is of critical importance in the face of more extreme weather.

In these drought conditions we are experiencing, younger trees in particular may be struggling and we can help out those near us by watering them using grey water from baths, washing up, or cooled water from draining veggies just be sure there are no harsh chemicals or salt used in the water first 🤎
