Celebrating dedication at Marine Park View 💙

There’s something really special about a team that chooses to stay, grow and give their all year after year… and that’s exactly what we celebrated this week.

We were proud to recognise some of our incredible team members who have been part of Marine Park View for many years… with some reaching an amazing 30+ years of service. That level of loyalty, care and commitment says everything about the people behind our home.

A special thank you to Carl Mowatt, Commercial Director at South Shields FC, who joined us as our guest and presented the awards. It meant a lot to have him there helping us celebrate such a meaningful occasion.

It was a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, stories and well-deserved recognition.

We’re so proud of our team and even more grateful for the difference they make every single day.

Here’s to many more years together 🤍

Such a great effort from the team completing their 10-mile walk to raise awareness for dementia 💙 A little tired but proud. Such a lovely way to come together for an important cause.

At Marine Park View Care Home, Alan’s been in his element lately, guitar out, putting on a little concert for everyone, then getting involved helping us decorate the garden. Proper good atmosphere around the place.

We shared a few photos on Facebook like we normally would.

Then out of nowhere, the post lands on someone’s feed who recognises him straight away… it was his long lost brother. They’ve been out of touch for years.

They’ve since had a catch-up on the phone and Dave hasn’t stopped talking about it since. You can see how much it’s meant to him.

All from a post and a bit of music in the garden.

Doesn’t happen every day, that 💛

We had a very special visitor at Marine Park View this week… and it’s safe to say she stole the show 🐾💛

Sadie comes to see us once a week, and the difference she makes is just lovely to see. From wagging tails to big smiles, she brings such a calm, happy energy to the home.

There were plenty of cuddles, a few treats (of course 👀) and lots of happy faces all round.

We’re already looking forward to her next visit 🐶💚

We’ve had another little creative project happening at Marine Park View… and if you know resident, Alan, you’ll know exactly who’s behind it 👀

The same Alan who had everyone singing along at his recent guitar performance has now turned his attention to the front of the home adding his own touch to our outdoor space.

From the pathway to the little details, he’s really enjoyed getting involved and we think it’s safe to say he’s done a lovely job 💚

It’s moments like this that remind us how important it is for people to still feel creative, involved and part of everyday life.

Next time you’re passing, take a look, you might spot a few of Alan’s finishing touches 🌿

Knowing what’s happening with your loved one and knowing you’ll be told makes all the difference.

A recent review highlighted how our team keep families informed, respond quickly to any concerns and take action when it matters most.

They described the staff as friendly, helpful and always on hand even in situations that can be challenging.

That consistency and communication is what builds real peace of mind.

There’s something really special about seeing familiar places captured like this 🎨

From quiet corners to well-known landmarks, these little scenes have been bringing back memories and sparking conversations around the home all week.

It’s lovely how something so simple can mean so much a reminder of places we know, moments we’ve shared, and stories we still tell.

If you’d like to see them up close (or take one home), you’re very welcome to pop into the home anytime we’d love to show you around 💛

We’ve had so many lovely comments about the artwork in our home recently, we thought we’d share a little more 💛

These beautiful pieces are by local artist Edward Taylor, capturing some familiar and much-loved scenes. They’ve brought so much colour and character into our spaces our residents really enjoy them.

We currently have a selection available to purchase at £10 each, and they’re displayed around the home for you to see in person.

If you’d like to take a closer look, you’re very welcome to pop in anytime just ask for Toni, our Care Home Manager, who’ll be happy to show you around.

It’s always lovely to support local talent and share it with our community 🎨

One of our residents at Marine Park View has a beautiful piece of artwork in her room, painted by a very talented family member who is a local artist. He spends time walking around the area, capturing local scenes, then brings them to life through his paintings.

What makes this even more meaningful is the story behind it. Every Wednesday, he visits with his dad to support his mum and give her a well-earned break. His dad, who is living with dementia, also shares that love of painting, making these visits not just supportive, but creative and full of connection too.

It’s such a lovely reminder of how important family, time together, and shared moments really are. And how something as simple as a painting can hold so much meaning.

We love seeing these personal touches in our home they truly make it feel like home 💛

Yesterday at Marine Park View we had the pleasure of watching our very own Alan perform.🎸

With his guitar ready and waiting, Alan treated everyone to an afternoon of music, filling the room with familiar tunes and plenty of smiles from residents and staff alike.

It’s always special to see residents sharing their talents and passions with everyone around them. Thank you Alan for a brilliant afternoon, we’re already looking forward to the next one!
