If you've secured a place on a Nursing or Nursing Associate course at Edge Hill University, congratulations! 👏

Please be aware that Brighton Road will be closed for 10 days from Monday 10 August due to works by United Utilities.

📍 Road closure outside 40-46 Brighton Road
🔄 A signed diversion route will be in place
🚗 Access to the car park should remain available via Liverpool Road

This may affect travel to 7-Day GP and Community Cardiology appointments, so please allow extra time for your journey.

Southport and Formby has achieved the highest lung cancer screening uptake in Cheshire and Merseyside, with an outstanding 68% participation rate.

More than 8,000 local people completed a lung health check, over 4,800 CT scans were carried out, and eight lung cancers have been identified so far, helping people access treatment earlier when it is most effective.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this life-saving programme such a success. 💙

The Living Well Bus is offering walk-in smear tests in Formby today! 🚌

August's first stop for the Living Well Bus is at Waitrose, Formby, from 10.30am to 4pm today (Wednesday 5 August).

The Bus will then continue its Sefton tour, offering cervical screening appointments at:

📍 Wednesday 12 August – May Logan Centre, Bootle
📍 Friday 21 August – Netherton Activity Centre
📍 Saturday 19 September – 26-28 Chapel Street, Southport

All sessions run from 10.30am to 4pm, with no appointment needed.
