🎨🌊 SOUTHPORT SCENES – A POP-UP ART GALLERY 🌊🎨
We’re delighted to be joining forces with Secret Sand Land to present β€œSouthport Scenes”, a special one-day pop-up gallery celebrating the people, places and landscapes of Southport through art.

πŸ“… Friday 18th September 2026
⏰ 10am – 4pm
πŸ“ Southport Community Centre, 99 Norwood Road, Southport, PR8 6HQ

The exhibition brings together artwork from the personal collection of Secret Sand Land, featuring a fascinating selection of local scenes by artists including James William Walker, William Alison Martin, Muriel Sibley, Gordon Hemm and the mysterious artist Mash*ter.

Funded through Living Well Sefton as part of our year long History Project, there will also be prints from Rock & Co Ltd, Newman & Co and Frederick Morton Jones, alongside work from lesser-known local artists who captured Southport using the pen line technique – with plenty more to discover!

Whether you're passionate about local history, art, Southport, or simply enjoy discovering something a little different, this is a fantastic opportunity to see some fascinating and rarely seen images of our town. πŸ–ΌοΈ

β˜• Refreshments will also be available for a small donation.

No booking required – just come along!

We’d love to see you there and help celebrate the many different ways Southport has been captured through art over the years.

🌸🌿 **Proud to Support Ainsdale in Bloom!** 🌿🌸

Yesterday, we were delighted to support **Ainsdale in Bloom** on their judging day and celebrate the incredible work being carried out by this dedicated community group.

A huge thank you to **Brenda Porter** and all of the volunteers whose hard work and commitment help keep Ainsdale looking so welcoming. From maintaining planters and flower beds to caring for green spaces throughout the village, their efforts make a real difference to everyone who lives in and visits the area. 🌺

We're also incredibly proud that our **Brighter Living Men's Shed** has been able to contribute by building a number of the planters as part of our ongoing community work. It's a wonderful example of local people working together to create something that benefits the whole community.

Well done to everyone involved, and best of luck with the judging! We're proud to support such a fantastic community initiative. πŸŒΌπŸ’š
