A hug in a bag (or 2, plus some birth boards 🥰).

That's what I call this. I know I have spoken about this before but it always warms my heart.

Gifting clothes, equipment to a new mum is something that should be celebrated, its a hug in a bag.

It's not just 'stuff' or a hug, a nod to what is to come raising a new baby, knowing that you are seen. Love knowing you are not alone, and memories.

Gifting someone clothes, blankets, its not just fabric it's memories and sometimes it takes a lot to pass it on.

I've recently just given all my stuff away to my little sister. I wasn't just giving her old clothes (my kids are 11 and 9) it was memories.

I remember being given 2 bin bags full of dresses for a 2 year old by a paramedic I used to work with, her kids where much older. Now I realise she held onto them, not because they are cute, because of the memories.

So its a hug, a nod, passing on of memories.

🫶'The 4th Trimester' - The class for you, not just baby. 🫶

Something a little bit special, a course that really nurtures you, that's chilled out and great for making new friends.

Every week enjoy drinks, sweet treats and a really good natter with people who really 'get it'. The course starts off with our signature Baby Massage course and moves onto Baby Yoga as your little one gets bigger, BUT .... this course is different, it includes our special themed workshops (Halloween and Xmas), photo backdrops, foot printing AND a 'Tea Party'!

Classes are 75 minutes long, so time to get comfy, without any rushing around or stress and they run for a longer time (Sept - Dec, Oct - Jan...)

You’re pregnant for a lot longer than you are in labour for.

You have a choice, you can choose to go through the whole of pregnancy feeling frightened, worried about labour and birth, not knowing what is really being said or offered at appointments, OR you can choose another way.

It sounds blunt, I know, and I was in two minds about posting this, BUT…..

I have spent over a decade supporting expectant parents, listening and feeling sooooo frustrated that there is another way!

The thing is, let’s say you find out your pregnant at 8 weeks, you have 30 ish weeks to prepare and to look into things, use your time wisely.

There IS a lot to learn and it is a lot of time, especially when you may spend a shed load of it ‘googling’ about stuff people have told you, trying to piece together things, without actually knowing where to go. Then you get stuck in a rabbit hole, confused and feeling really stressed.

It’s not a good place to be.

I get it, I was a first time mum and knew nothing! Only what people had told me. I chose a different way, I didn’t want to be a dear in the headlights, I wanted to take charge of the most important day of my life, becoming a mother and it changed my entire life.

If you’re rocking a bump, you want to learn, to feel ‘unstuck’ and you want your partner to know how to REALLY support you, then get on it!

Going with the flow may seem like a good idea, until it isn’t but then it’s prob too late when your in the moment.

This is your day. Your baby. Your birth.

When a dream turns into a reality!

10 years on, still doing what I absolutely LOVE!
Helping to prepare parents to be for the biggest day of their lives 🥰

But things have changed over the years, I've evolved, adapted, changed .... and so had the system we birth in.

What I love most is seeing the shift. The shift in you, realising your own power (and birth partners too).

I'm not going to pretend every birth story I get goes 'to plan', sometimes they don't, BUT this helps.

Its helps you to navigate if needed, putting you at the centre of your birth, which is what it should be!

It's not about a 'pain free' or 'a water birth', it's simply about you feeling like an absolute queen, however you birth.

What do we go through?
Well i tend to find the list is less important than the feeling but in a nutshell....

- options for birth
- your rights
- how to adapt to change, putting you at the centre of it
- how birth partners can really help and support
- birth 'plans'
- movement

It takes the guessing out of the game and helps you to feel more confident, not only during labour but throughout pregnancy too!

One day birth preparation courses, perfect if you’re limited on time, struggle for childcare or work shifts and can’t commit a course split over multiple weeks.

Bring up to 2 birth partners along, a practical and hands on course which gets you moving around, asking questions and making friends.

We go through inductions, c-sections, water births, your rights, options, how to make informed decisions that are right for you, birth plans and how to navigate it all, so you walk into birth feeling confident.

Suitable anytime after 22 weeks gestation.
