When you are planning a retreat, support can arrive in many different forms.

From the kind words and messages of encouragement to thoughtful contributions from brands that want to support the experience, every gesture is genuinely appreciated.

A huge thank you to .living, who kindly gifted protein powder sachets for the women attending our Come Up for Air retreat.

They were so well received, and we have had some lovely feedback from those who tried them over the weekend and took them home to enjoy afterwards.

Thank you for helping us add another thoughtful touch to two very special days.

These products were gifted with no obligation to post. This is simply a genuine thank you.

Wow. What a retreat.

We did, in fact, Come Up for Air.

For two days, we stepped away from the noise and created space to pause, reflect and look at the areas of life that you want to grow, adapt or approach differently.

There was honesty, laughter, learning and so much love and support in the room.

Thank you to every woman who came, shared and allowed herself to be part of the experience. You made the retreat what it was.

A special thank you to Sophie and Aaron for being there. We make a great team, and I am also so grateful to .living for their generosity.

Here’s to taking what you discovered and moving forward with greater clarity, confidence and care for yourself.

Have you ever found yourself thinking...
"I just need to try harder."
"I've become so lazy."
"Why can't I get through the afternoon anymore?"
If that sounds familiar, I want you to know you're not alone.

Many women tell me they feel guilty about their energy levels during perimenopause and menopause. They wonder why they can't keep up the way they used to or why even simple tasks can suddenly feel overwhelming.

The truth is, it often isn't about motivation.

As hormones change, they can affect blood sugar regulation, sleep quality and even how your brain uses energy. When poor sleep, fluctuating hormones and busy lives all collide, it's no surprise that your energy feels different.

That doesn't mean you should simply accept feeling exhausted.
It means your body may need a different kind of support.

One place to start is with breakfast. Including both protein and fibre can help support steadier energy throughout the day, rather than relying on quick fixes when the afternoon slump arrives.

Small changes won't solve everything overnight, but they can make a real difference over time.

That's why I created One Minute Menopause.

Every Monday, we'll take one symptom, explain what's happening in your body and share one simple nutrition tip to help you feel more like yourself again.

My goal is simple. To help you understand what's happening in your body, so you can work with it, not against it.

Food Noise Friday
You're planning your next meal while eating this one.
You're still chewing.
And somehow your brain has skipped three hours ahead.
It's such a strange feeling.
You're not hungry.
You're just never fully allowed to stop thinking about food.
If you've caught yourself doing this recently...
I see you.
Food Noise Friday's exist as reassurance that you're not imagining it.

Have you ever found yourself opening the fridge... then wondering why you're even there?

Or thinking about your next meal before you've finished the one you're eating?

If that sounds familiar, you're not imagining it.

Many women notice something called "food noise" during perimenopause and menopause. It's that constant mental chatter around food. The cravings. The grazing. The feeling that food is always on your mind.

It's easy to blame yourself or think you've suddenly lost all willpower.

But hormonal changes can increase hunger signals and change the way your brain responds to food, making it much harder to feel satisfied.

That doesn't mean you need to eat less.

It means your meals may need to work a little harder for you.

Building meals around protein, healthy fats and fibre can help you feel fuller for longer and keep your energy more stable throughout the day. Small changes like adding a handful of nuts, seeds, avocado or olive oil alongside a good source of protein can make a real difference.

Food shouldn't take over your thoughts.

Understanding why it's happening is often the first step towards feeling back in control.

That's why I created One Minute Menopause.

Every Monday, we'll take one symptom, explain what's happening in your body and share one simple nutrition tip to help you feel more like yourself again.

My goal is simple. To help you understand what's happening in your body, so you can work with it, not against it.

Food Noise Friday's
You're exhausted from thinking about food.
Nobody sees this part.
The conversations you have with yourself all day.

Should I?

Shouldn't I?

Maybe later.

I've already ruined today anyway.
It's not the eating that's draining.
It's carrying the conversation around in your head from morning until bedtime.
If you've been feeling mentally tired lately...
Maybe it's not just life.
Food Noise Friday's exist as reassurance that you're not imagining it.

When you've felt uncomfortable in your own body for months, sometimes years, it's easy to believe that's just how life is now.

It isn't.

Often, your body isn't working against you. It's asking for the right support.

Watching clients notice their bloating settle, their energy return and their confidence grow reminds me that nutrition doesn't have to be overwhelming to make a difference.

Simple changes.
Real food.
Real women.
Real results.

If you're tired of feeling bloated, low on energy or stuck in a cycle that isn't working, keep following. I'll be sharing all the details of the next 7 Day Challenge very soon.

You've been carrying everything for far too long. And in those quiet moments, you find yourself wondering, 'Shouldn't this be easier?
You keep everyone else's world turning.
You remember the birthdays.
You organise the appointments.
You answer the messages.
You carry the mental load.
And somewhere along the way, you've stopped asking what you need.

If that feels familiar, I want you to know something.

You don't need to arrive with everything figured out.

You don't need to be the most confident woman in the room.
You don't need to have meditated before.
You don't need to be "good at wellness."

You simply need to arrive.

Come Up For Air is a gentle two-day retreat for women in midlife who are ready to press pause, reconnect with themselves and leave with practical nutrition advice, supportive conversations and the space to breathe again.

No pressure.
No judgement.
No expectation to be anyone other than yourself.

If you've been waiting for a sign to put yourself first, perhaps this is it.

If you've found yourself thinking...

"Why am I suddenly bloated?"
"Why can't I tolerate foods I used to eat?"
"Why does my body feel different even though nothing has changed?"

You're not alone.

One of the biggest frustrations I hear from women in perimenopause and menopause is that the foods they've eaten for years suddenly don't seem to agree with them anymore.

That can feel confusing, frustrating and, at times, make you question yourself.

Hormonal changes, particularly falling oestrogen, can influence digestion, your gut microbiome and the way your digestive system works. It doesn't mean your body is broken. It means it's changing.

The answer isn't always to cut more foods out.

More often, it's about understanding what's happening first, then making small nutrition changes that support your body instead of fighting against it.

That's exactly why I've created One Minute Menopause.

Every Monday, I'll take one symptom, explain what's happening in simple terms, and share one realistic nutrition tip you can actually use.

Because when you understand your body, looking after it becomes so much easier.

My goal is simple. To help you understand what's happening in your body, so you can work with it, not against it.
