Here’s a little overview of some of the wonderful activities we enjoyed last week at Birkdale Tower! 📸✨

From singing and dancing to enjoying a fantastic live singer who came in to entertain us, there was plenty of music, laughter and fun! 🎤🎶

Our Residents also enjoyed a variety of games, bringing plenty of friendly competition, smiles and laughter along the way! 🎲😊

💪🎶 Armchair Keep Fit & Classical Hour 🎶💪

We had a lovely morning of Armchair Keep Fit, followed by a relaxing Classical Hour with our Residents. 🪑✨

Armchair exercises are a great way to keep everyone moving while remaining seated, helping to encourage mobility, coordination, strength and circulation in a gentle and enjoyable way. 💪😊

We then took some time to relax and enjoy our Classical Hour. 🎻🎹 Music can be a wonderful way to promote relaxation, lift moods, spark memories and encourage conversation.

It was the perfect combination of movement and mindfulness — keeping our bodies active and our minds engaged! ❤️

This month, we’re making the most of our beautiful garden and spending as much time outdoors as possible! ☀️🌺

From exciting treasure hunts 🔎 and our gardening club 🌱 to relaxing socials and gatherings, there’s always something happening in the garden.

We’re also focusing on our senses — taking time to enjoy the beautiful sights, fresh smells and different textures around us. 🌼👃🤲

It’s all about getting outside, enjoying nature and making the most of the warmer days together! 💚

✨ Just a little glimpse of the past couple of weeks at Birkdale Tower! ✨

From keeping active with our Keep Fit sessions 💪, to getting creative with colouring 🎨, there’s always something happening!

We’ve also enjoyed trips out and joining together for our Sunday Virtual Church Service ⛪️, along with lots of other activities, chats, laughter and opportunities to spend time together. ❤️

At Birkdale Tower, we believe there should be something for everyone, with activities designed to suit different interests, abilities and preferences. 😊

We couldn’t let National Watermelon Day pass us by without getting involved! 😍

Our Residents enjoyed a refreshing taste of summer as we tucked into some delicious, juicy watermelon — the perfect treat for a summer’s day! ☀️🍉

There were plenty of smiles, conversations and, of course, a little bit of sticky fingers along the way! 😂❤️

A simple activity, but a lovely way to spend time together and enjoy something a little different.

Today, we pause to remember Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar on the second anniversary of their tragic loss.

Their beautiful young lives touched the hearts of our community and the whole nation. Today, we honour their memories, keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts, and remember them with love and respect.

At Birkdale Tower Care Home, we join our community in remembering these three precious girls.
