Information surrounding Exercise in pregnancy can be confusing and misleading.

You are not just limited to yoga, Pilates and walking. Yes these exercise types have their place. However if you are a gym bunny, weightlifter, runner… you can still continue these things safely in most pregnancy’s!

Listening to your body, adapting movements/lifts/loads as you feel your body requires is important, reduce your risks of falls or taking contact in sports.

This blog guide covers:
🔸Suitable exercise types
🔸The benefits of staying active during pregnancy
🔸Listening to your changing body
🔸When to seek advice

Link to blogs are in my bio!

Unsure if your exercise is right for you? Struggling with movements or back/pelvic pain? And want more advice, you can book in for an assessment and address any concerns you have!

Cancellation Policy Reminder

Due to a recent increase in last-minute cancellations and no-shows, I will now be strictly enforcing the cancellation policy that has been in place since day one.

As a small business, last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on my income. When an appointment is cancelled on the day, it is often too late for me to fill that appointment with another client.

The cancellation policy has now been added to my consent forms/health questionnaires for you to read and sign, and it will also be verbally confirmed at your first appointment.
I am also currently working on introducing online payments at the time of booking.

I have always tried to be as fair and understanding as possible when it comes to cancellations, but unfortunately, I can no longer accommodate the level of on-the-day cancellations I have been experiencing.
I genuinely appreciate every single person who books with me, uses my services, returns for appointments, and recommends me to friends and family. Your support means so much to my small business.

At the end of the day, this is my livelihood, and I hope you can understand why I need to put this policy firmly in place moving forward.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding. ❤️

Recovering from a C-section takes time and knowing what to expect can make the journey feel a little easier. ❤️

From the first few days of rest and gentle movement to rebuilding strength over the following months, every stage of recovery is different.

I’ve put together a simple C-section recovery guide covering:
✨ Days 0–7
✨ The first 3 months
✨ Around 6 months
✨ Exercise and returning to activity
✨ When to seek medical advice

Read the full blog through the link in my bio.

Save this post for later and share it with a new mum who might find it helpful. 🧡

A pelvic health physiotherapist is a specialist physiotherapist who assesses and treats problems involving the pelvic floor muscles, bladder, bowel, pelvis, and s*xual function. #
We commonly help with:
* Urinary leakage (when coughing, exercising, or feeling a sudden urge to go).
* Frequent urination, urgency, or overactive bladder.
* Pelvic organ prolapse (when the bladder, uterus, or bowel drops and causes a bulging sensation).
* Pelvic pain, including pain during s*x.
* Pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, back pain.
* Postnatal recovery.
* Recovery after gynaecological surgery

At your first appointment, we will usually:
* Ask about your symptoms, medical and pregnancy history, bladder and bowel habits, and any pain.
* Assess your posture, breathing, core muscles, hips, rib cage and back.
* If appropriate and with your consent, offer an internal examination (vaginal or re**al) to assess the pelvic floor muscles. You can decline this if you prefer.
* Explain what’s causing your symptoms and create a treatment plan.

Treatment may include:
* Teaching you how to correctly contract or relax your pelvic floor muscles.
* A personalised exercise programme.
* Manual therapy to release tight muscles or scar tissue.
* Advice on toileting, lifting, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
* Scar therapy

Many pelvic floor problems improve significantly with physiotherapy!

We can help with your pelvic floor issues, you don’t have to just live with them cause others told you that they do!
