Yesterday my son chose to buy me gifts with his own money & my heart is full ♥️

There was a time when I wondered whether raising him alone would affect him & whether I could be enough.

As parents, it's easy to focus on what we think might be missing rather than what we are giving.

In my first book, Unpack™ Your Emotional Baggage, I talk about the 3 psychological needs that must be met in childhood for a child to grow into a psychologically healthy adult

My son reminded me of the POWER of those needs being met.

My son, who has ASD is kind, thoughtful, loving, & compassionate, and i know that this is a result of him feeling LOVED

Children don't need perfect parents. (or parent in my case). They need consistent LOVE, I go into more details about the 3 components in my first book 💜 & I also explain what to do if these weren’t met for you in your childhood

At our charity and through the SOTYouthCollective we are committed to creating opportunities that empower young people to thrive, lead, and shape their future 👊✨

At RUFF & RUBY, we run a paid youth employment programme called “Design Your Future” for young people aged 16–18 involved in youth work. This experience equips young people to impact their generation through:

We believe young people are full of creativity, purpose, and potential — and we want to help unlock it 🔥

Through the SOT Youth Collective Youth Employment Working Group, we’re also developing exciting new projects focused on START-UP BUSINESSES 🚀💼

One thing we especially love is supporting young entrepreneurs with access to local business mentoring, encouragement, and opportunities to grow their ideas into reality 🙌
