PHILLIP JOHN BROOME 🏇

Suddenly passed away on 5th August 2026, Phillip aged 59 years of Stafford. Beloved Son of Beatrice and the late John, much-loved Brother of Mark, Dawn and Garry. He will be loved and remembered forever by his heartbroken mother, siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Should children attend a funeral?

This is a question we are often asked, and the simple answer is… there is no right or wrong choice, every child is different, and every family is unique.

Some parents and carers feel that children can benefit from being included in saying goodbye, as funerals can help them understand what has happened, express their feelings, and feel part of remembering someone they love.

For some children, attending may not feel right, and that's okay too. There are many other meaningful ways to remember someone, such as creating a memory box, lighting a candle, looking through photographs, or sharing favourite stories together.

There is no perfect way to navigate grief, only what feels right for your family.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful friend, Sophie Hadley, for hand-painting a Lily of the Valley on this coffin for a very special lady!

At the heart of every farewell is the opportunity to tell someone's unique story. Personal touches like this create a funeral that truly reflects the life, passions, and personality of the person being remembered.

Lily of the Valley was her favourite flower, and created a truly meaningful tribute on behalf of her family. It was a beautiful way to reflect her personality, celebrate her life, and honour the memories she leaves behind.

ROSEMARY HANCOCK 🌹

Following a short illness, Rosemary died at the Royal Stoke University Hospital on 16th July 2026, aged 95 years. Much loved mother, granny, great granny and aunt, good neighbour and a dear friend to many, having lived in Stone for 50 years. She will be greatly missed by Paul, Ruth and all who knew her.
