Babies have around 270 bones, while most adults have 206.

Where did they all go?! 😱

Don't worry — they haven't fallen out! Many of them gradually fuse together as we grow.

While the new Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 aims to ease some of the pressure through changes to school meals and limits on branded uniform costs, research from Nationwide shows parents are still spending an average of £300 on back-to-school essentials, leaving many families facing impossible choices.

That's why supporting children means more than providing food. It means helping families access the essentials, opportunities and support they need to thrive. Thanks to your support, we're able to do just that. 🙏

📣 We’re now a Foodbank Donation Point! 💙

We’re pleased to announce that our surgery is now a donation point for Black Country Food Bank helping support local people and families who may be struggling. You'll find the collection point in our waiting area.

If you’re able to, you can drop off non-perishable food items at the surgery during our opening hours. Every donation can make a real difference.

Emergency Appeal — Families Have Lost Everything

In the last few days there have been devastating fires in Wolverhampton, Stourbridge and Birmingham, leaving families with no belongings and no essentials.

🩷 Local councils are providing temporary accommodation, but people still need help with the basics to get through the next days and weeks.

🩷 Among those affected is an elderly couple who both live with dementia. They have lost everything in a fire this afternoon.

I have been asked if the supporters of Leslie’s Care Packages would be so kind as to help.

🩷 We are urgently raising funds to provide:

1. Primark clothing vouchers

2. Food vouchers

3. Asda vouchers for small electrical household items (kettles, toasters, simple necessities)

🩷 Any donation — no matter how big or small — will make a real difference to someone who has lost everything.
