🚑❤️ 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐏𝐑 & 𝐀𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 ❤️🚑

We’re now a few days into National CPR and AED Awareness Week, and it’s a powerful reminder of just how important these life-saving skills are.
Every year, thousands of cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals, and immediate action can mean the difference between life and death. Knowing how to perform CPR and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) can significantly increase someone’s chance of survival while waiting for emergency services.
The truth is - anyone can learn these skills. You don’t need to be a healthcare professional to save a life. By taking a little time to learn CPR and understand how AEDs work, you could one day help a friend, family member, colleague, or even a stranger.
Let’s use this week to raise awareness, encourage training, and remind ourselves that being prepared can truly save lives.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month - a time to shine a light on the millions of people affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as the families and caregivers who support them every day.
Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss - it impacts thinking, behaviour, and independence. By raising awareness, supporting research, and having open conversations, we can help create a more understanding and compassionate world.
Let’s stand together, wear purple, share knowledge, and support those living with brain disease. Every action - big or small - makes a difference.

Unfortunately due to unexpected staff sickness, we are extremely short staffed in our reception/admin team. This may result in longer wait times on the phone and at the reception desk. If you are able to do so, please contact us via Rapid Health. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We are currently experiencing reduced staffing levels due to staff sickness, which means wait times may be longer than we would ideally like. We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team works hard to support all patients safely and effectively.

If you are able to do so, please contact us via Rapid Health using the link below rather than calling the surgery, helping to keep the phone lines available for those who are unable to access Rapid Health:

Thank you for your continued patience.

“𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞?”

Fit notes can sometimes be backdated if a clinician agrees that you were not fit for work during a previous period of illness. However, this is assessed on an individual basis and may require information about your symptoms, treatment, or hospital attendance during that time.

Please note:
📅 You do not need a fit note for the first 7 calendar days of sickness - you can self-certify with your employer during this time.
🖥️ If you need a backdated fit note, please contact the surgery via Rapid Health to request this.
