🏖️☀️ Beach Party Day was a huge hit in our Day Centre last Friday! ☀️🏖️

Hook-a-Duck 🎣, beach ball games 🏐, delicious meals in a basket 🍱, refreshing cocktails 🍹 and tasty ice cream treats🍦 were all on the menu, followed by a good old-fashioned sing-song 🎶.

The celebrations continued with a wonderful sing-along 🎶, filling the room with smiles and cherished memories. To round off the day, our amazing Day Centre team treated everyone to a display of their very own grass surfing skills 🤣🌊 proving once again that they always go above and beyond to bring joy to our day clients.

A brilliant day was had by all, and we would like to say a huge thank you to our dedicated team for making it so special. ❤️

🌳 Branching out creatively - we may need to start our own mini arboretum!🎨

Our talented Day Centre clients spent a wonderful Friday morning with artist Kathy, exploring watercolour techniques to bring their own unique trees to life. From delicate branches to vibrant leaves, each painting is full of imagination and personal style. And the result - a watercolour woodland wonder!

A lovely reminder that creativity continues to flourish at every age. 🍃💚

🏖️☀️ What a fantastic beach party we had on Monday! 🌊🍦

Residents enjoyed an afternoon packed with fun, from cooling off with delicious ice creams to testing their skills at hook-a-duck and having plenty of laughs with a game of pin the tail on the donkey. 😎🐤🎯
A huge shout out to our Activities Team, whose creativity transformed our courtyard into a seaside retreat! From inflatable dolphins and beach-themed decorations to colourful flip-flop garlands, no detail was missed. 🐬🏝️🩴 Judging by the smiles and summer vibes, it was a 'shore' thing that everyone had a wonderful time! 🌊😊❤️

🎲😊 A full house in the Gatcombe lounge on Saturday morning!

We had a full house on Saturday morning as residents gathered together for a lively game of dominoes. The room was filled with friendly competition and great conversation, making for a fantastic social morning enjoyed by all. ❤️ Well done to all our domino champions! 👏🏡

🐻🧺☀️ A Teddy Bears’ picnic to remember! ☀️🧺🐻

What a wonderful afternoon our residents enjoyed at a special Teddy Bears’ Picnic with Sarah, the childminder, and children 💕 The children did some art and crafts to share with our residents and everyone enjoyed the fun with the bubbles! The day was made even sweeter with the cutest teddy bear cupcakes 🧁🐻. Thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for creating these beautiful treats. 👏💛

These intergenerational activities are always so valuable, bringing smiles, stories and cherished memories to all who take part. Thank you to Sarah and children for spending time with us and making the day so memorable. 🥰🐻

🎨 Our Day Centre clients had a wonderful time getting creative last Friday, producing some fantastic hot air balloon-inspired artwork to celebrate the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. There was plenty of colour, imagination and fun involved, and we're sure you'll agree the results look amazing! Well done to everyone who took part. 😊🖌️
Fun fact: The first untethered hot air balloon flight took place in France in 1783, over 240 years ago!

There smiles and a little bit of friendly competition as our Day Centre clients enjoyed a lively game of balloon tennis! 😊🎉

A special thank you to our fantastic volunteer Skye 💜 for helping to keep the game going and encouraging everyone to join in. Activities like these are a wonderful way to stay active, build confidence and enjoy time together with friends.

It's moments like these that make our Day Centre such a happy and welcoming place. 🌟

🍪✨ There was a wonderful aroma of freshly baked cookies in our Day Centre this week!
Clients Bill, Frankie, Ros and Christine rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the kitchen with the help of carers Lisa and carol, baking a delicious batch of chocolate chip cookies. 🧑‍🍳❤️

We're also pleased to report that the cookies successfully passed our rigorous quality control process... and we can officially confirm they were absolutely delicious😉🍪✅ Well done to our fantastic bakers for a job beautifully done. 👏🍪
