PLE Health

PLE Health Real people. Real care. At PLE Health, we connect you with trusted therapists who truly listen—online or in person.

PLE Health was established by Dr Alison Hoskins, Consultant Clinical Psychologist in 1999. Since then our network of psychologists and therapists has expanded across the country and now provides a comprehensive range of psychological assessments and treatment services. PLE Health provides the service to the legal sector for personal injury claims, healthcare insurance companies for their members

and employers for their employees. Our clinicians are generally either HCPC registered Psychologists (Clinical/Counselling/Occupational) or BABCP accredited Cognitive-behavioural therapists. Our clinicians complete a comprehensive range of psychological treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Neurorehabilitation and Psycho-sexual Therapy.

Pride Month is about visibility, support, and understanding.

In this video, our clinician Luke explores the mental health inequalities affecting LGBTQ+ communities. Research consistently shows higher levels of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress, not because of identity, but due to experiences such as discrimination, stigma, minority stress, and limited access to affirming care.

Luke discusses the broader social factors that contribute to these disparities and highlights the importance of understanding mental health within its wider social and cultural context.

You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.

For many men, loneliness isn't about being on your own. It's about going through something heavy and feeling like there's no one you can actually talk to about it. It's sitting in a room full of people and still feeling invisible. It's knowing plenty of names in your phone and still not being able to think of a single person you'd actually call.

This Men's Mental Health Month, we're talking about the kind of loneliness that doesn't always look like loneliness. The one hiding behind "I'm fine," behind long working hours, behind staying busy so you don't have to feel it.

That showing you're struggling is a burden on others. And so the weight gets carried quietly. Sometimes for years.

But loneliness isn't a character flaw. It isn't weakness. It's a signal. One that deserves to be heard, not pushed down.

If this resonates with you, or with someone you know, we want you to know that support is here. Talking to someone , not to fix you, just to genuinely be heard can be the thing that changes everything.

One of the most common misconceptions about therapy is that you need to have everything figured out before your first session.

The truth? Therapy is where the figuring out happens.

At PLE Health, we believe that showing up even without answers is the bravest and most important step you can take for your mental wellbeing. You don't need to be in crisis to seek support. You just need to be ready to begin.

Take that step today. Call 01453 621444 or visit www.plehealth.com to speak with trained professionals, access trusted resources and find guidance tailored to your needs.

Therapy progress isn't always loud. Sometimes it's understanding yourself better, setting a boundary or simply showing up to your session. What matters most is that you're on the right path and every small step forward proves that.
