Today marks the beginning of our busiest time of the year.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be delivering back-to-back NPLQ courses, starting today at Ibstock Leisure Centre, helping to train the next generation of qualified lifeguards.

Every candidate who steps onto poolside this week is beginning a journey that could see them protecting lives in leisure centres, schools and holiday parks across the country. It’s a responsibility we never take lightly.

There’s no better feeling than watching candidates arrive on day one and leave with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a difference when it matters most.

Here’s to another summer of developing exceptional lifeguards.

🛟 DON’T LET YOUR NPLQ EXPIRE🛟

If your RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is due for renewal over the coming months, now is the time to secure your place.

To attend an NPLQ renewal assessment, you must:

✅ Hold a current NPLQ certificate on the date of assessment
✅ Have completed and recorded at least 20 hours of ongoing training during your qualification period
✅ Be ready to demonstrate that your rescue, CPR, first aid and poolside skills remain at the required standard

We have renewal assessments available across Nottinghamshire, Sheffield and the surrounding areas:

🛟 Friday 14 August – Ponds Forge, Sheffield
🛟 Wednesday 19 August – David Lloyd West Bridgford
🛟 Saturday 29 August – Hucknall Leisure Centre

🚗 From Oxford to Nottingham… the miles are worth it when you’re helping keep people safe.

After wrapping up our RLSS UK Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award (SPERA) course at the Leonardo Hotel in Oxford, it’s straight back on the road to David Lloyd West Bridgford for this afternoon’s staff training session.

No two days are ever the same at Successful First Aid Management. Whether we’re delivering first aid, lifesaving or bespoke staff training, our focus is always the same: giving people the confidence and skills to respond when every second counts.
