I’ve always believed being a Funeral Director is so much more than taking care of a service or ceremony - it’s about truly being there for people when they need it most.
It goes beyond our highly polished shoes and clean, shiny cars - It's about not just listening to a family's needs but understanding them too.💭

Every service has a unique stamp placed on to it by the families I look after.
In order for them to add these unique touches, they must feel comfortable enough to do so.☕ Therefore, providing that comfortable space is one of my top priorities in the service I provide.

Here in our wonderful town of Teignmouth, I’m proud to support families with care, dignity, and strength while offering the guidance they need to make a farewell personal to them. 🎩🌹

Trinity School’s Year 8 Religious Studies Group had a visit from Oliver last week and had the opportunity to ask him questions about working in the industry.

Students learnt that cremation tends to be the most common funeral service, and even that pets can have a role to play in a funeral too. Oliver was even asked about the challenges he has faced in the industry 🎩🌹

MAJOR REPAIR WORKS ARE NEEDED to repair and stabilise the pinnacles of the iconic tower of St Michael’s, a prominent feature of the Teignmouth skyline.

Additionally, following the Church’s last Quinquennial Inspection, other major building works are required to repair the fabric of the building and PRESERVE IT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

Costs are estimated to be in the region of £500,000.

There is NO FUNDING AVAILABLE from the Church of England and so the cost of the works falls to the local Church community.

"No fuss" doesn't have to mean no goodbye.

As local independents, we’ve found that 62% of people feel being present is one of the best ways to create a sense of meaning, with 48% saying a hug from fellow mourners was a great help during the whole process.

Oliver has been honoured to be made a patron of the St Michael’s Church Tower Appeal and spoke at the launch event recently.

We need to raise in the region of £500,000 to repair the pinnacles of the iconic bell tower, a prominent feature of the Teignmouth skyline, and to restore the window masonry, which is badly eroded by weather.

There is no funding available from the Church of England and so the cost of the works falls to the local church community. The PCC has limited resources and no money to fund the works and so it is necessary to launch a major appeal to raise funds and seek grant funding ⛪️🎩🌹
