🏢 Exciting things are happening in Burnley! 🏢

Our new Burnley office is really starting to take shape, and we can't wait to open our doors and begin supporting people in the local community.

As well as providing our high-quality care and support services, we want our office to be a welcoming community space where people can drop in, have a chat ☕, and be signposted to the help and services they may need.

The office will also be available for our service users to enjoy with their support workers – whether that's popping in for a brew ☕, enjoying a friendly chat 😊, taking part in activities 🎨🎲, or simply having somewhere safe and welcoming to spend time. 🏡

We're passionate about helping people stay connected, independent, and supported within their community 🤝, and we're looking forward to bringing that vision to Burnley very soon.

🎶 Community Singing Group 🎶

The ladies had a lovely afternoon at the local singing group today, getting involved, having a sing-along, and enjoying being part of the community.
It's always wonderful to see the people we support building connections, having fun, and getting involved in local activities. A fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all! 🧡💚

"I would like to nominate Louise and Jess for recognition.

I have got to know them through the support they provide, and the care they give is incredible. The whole team are amazing, but Louise and Jess consistently go the extra mile.

I regularly see them supporting someone in the community and it is clear how much they genuinely care. It is wonderful to see the person they support continue living in their own familiar surroundings, and nothing ever seems too much trouble for them.

They deal with all kinds of challenges professionally and with such kindness, patience and care. If she were my mum, I would be so happy knowing she was being cared for by these amazing people.

I would love for Louise and Jess to receive recognition. The rest of the team are also fantastic, but these two are something special.

🌟 Home Care Hero of the Month 🌟

A huge congratulations to Nic H, our May Home Care Hero of the Month! 🎉

Nic is an absolute star and a valued member of the Libra Support Services team. She consistently goes above and beyond for the people she supports, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care while always treating them with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Nic builds fantastic relationships with the people she supports and takes the time to engage with them in meaningful ways. It's always lovely to see her out and about in town with one of our service users, encouraging him to stay active, enjoy some fresh air, and maintain his mobility – all of which has a hugely positive impact on his overall wellbeing.

Not only is Nic exceptional in her care role, but she is also incredibly reliable and dedicated. She regularly steps in at short notice to help cover shifts, demonstrating true teamwork and commitment to both her colleagues and the people we support.

Her positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and willingness to help others make her a pleasure to work with. We are incredibly grateful to have Nic on our team and feel very lucky to have someone so caring and dedicated representing Libra Support Services.

From enjoying tasty food and refreshing drinks outside to spending time in the garden, it’s been lovely to see everyone getting outdoors, staying active, and enjoying the sunshine. 🌿🍓🪴

Moments like these support wellbeing, independence, and happiness — and it’s wonderful to see so many smiles all around 😊

What a fantastic day enjoying the community spirit at the carnival parade! ☀️🎉

Our amazing support workers Nicola, Demi and Louise join some of our wonderful service users for a day full of smiles, laughter, music and sunshine.

It is lovely to see everyone coming together and enjoying such a brilliant atmosphere out in the community.

George and Molly had a lovely time this afternoon — “really nice time” in George’s own words 😊

They enjoyed getting out into the local community and visiting Mr Beans for lunch together. It’s always wonderful to see the smiles that social outings can bring.

George is already looking forward to his second social support visit next week… I wonder what they’ll have on the cards next! 💚💚
