This is achieved through a qualified, specialist workforce who are trained and supervised, by our own qualified t

rainers and assessors, to provide care of the highest standard. Our services are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, Kent County Council and local borough councils. Over the past 33 years, inspectors of our personal care provision, food hygiene and health and safety, have continuously rated us as 'Excellent'! Families and service users feel at ease and have peace of mind in the knowledge they are using a recognised quality service with caring, experienced staff supporting them.

A speech by our Chairman at a recent event:

There are moments in life, and in leadership, when standing still simply isn’t an option.
History tells the story of a general who, after landing on foreign soil with his troops, ordered the ships destroyed. No retreat. No turning back. The only way home was forward.
There comes a moment in every care worker's life when commitment stops being just a word and becomes a decision. Dementia care asks that of us.
Because the work we do means showing up for people at some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. When memory fades. When confidence fades. When the world becomes confusing and frightening.
And that kind of care cannot be done halfway.
• You cannot care halfway.
• You cannot support people halfway.
• You cannot lead halfway.
You cannot become someone meaningful while quietly keeping a door open for retreat. If we want to reach and even exceed our perceived potential, if we strive to be exceptional — truly exceptional — then we move forward together.
• Not constantly looking over our shoulders.
• Not holding on to “how we used to do things” just because it feels comfortable.
• And not shrinking back when things feel hard.
There will be days that feel hard and low energy. Days when the system frustrates us and days when it feels like the progress we want is moving far too slowly. But commitment isn't proven on easy days; it’s proven on difficult ones.
• It’s proven when we show up anyway.
• When we support each other.
• When we keep going for the people who depend on us.
Because our commitment is tested when stepping back would be easier — but we choose to step forward.
When we step forward together:
• We raise our standards.
• We support one another.
• We challenge ourselves to grow.
• We refuse to settle for “good enough.”
• We leave behind the thinking that holds teams back.
• We leave behind doubt.
• We leave behind “that’s not my job.”
• And we move forward — together.
Because here is the simple truth.
The people we care for deserve our full presence. Our colleagues deserve our full effort. And we deserve the pride that comes from knowing we gave this work everything we had.
So tonight, as we stand here — not just as staff, but as a team — I want to ask you something. What boats are you still keeping… just in case? And what could we become if every single one of us gave our very best?
At the end of every shift, when the paperwork is done, what really matters is this:
• Did everyone feel safer because we were here?
• Did everyone feel respected?
• Did everyone feel seen?
• Did everyone have moments of joy and happiness?
If the answer to that is yes, then what we do here truly matters and affects the lives of the most vulnerable in the most positive ways imaginable.
And that is something worth giving our very best for — every single day.
The future of this team is not behind us; it is ahead of us.
And together, we will continue to build on the exceptional care that already defines who we are. Being rated outstanding is something to be proud of — but it is not a finish line. It is simply a reminder of what is possible when people care deeply about the work they do.
What truly matters is that we keep striving to be even better. Not for the sake of recognition, but because the people who live here deserve nothing less.
Our aim is not just to provide good care, or even excellent care. Our aim is to be a place where people truly live — where dignity, kindness, patience, and humanity shape every moment of every day.
If we continue to support one another, challenge ourselves, and stay true to the values that brought us this far, then what we build here will be more than a successful service.
It will become a model of care — one that others look to, learn from, and aspire to follow.
And that is something truly worth striving for.

A few little highlights lately 🎉

Birthday celebrations 🎂, a lovely afternoon out for tea and cake ☕🍰, and of course a quick McDonald’s ice cream stop 🍦.

Three separate moments, all simple but special in their own way. Sometimes it’s the little things, good company, and sweet treats that make the best memories 😊
