Well done, Jo 👏

Earlier this month the paramedics were called out to support one of our residents at Farmhouse. When the paramedics arrived, they were looked after by Jo Makin, one of our senior carers.

A Nikki, one of the paramedics wrote to us afterwards, just to say how impressed she was. She said it's not something she sees very often.

What impressed her was this: Jo knew everything about our resident, straight away. Age, family, medical history, what a normal day looks like. No searching for notes. No waiting on someone else.

We think it's what happens when you genuinely know the people you look after 💚.

Well done, Jo. We're proud of you.

Every week reminds us that being part of our home is about so much more than a calendar full of activities. It is about the people who make this community what it is.

Some weeks are filled with celebrations, laughter, and creating new memories. Other times, we find ourselves saying goodbye to someone who has been a much-loved part of our family. Those moments are never easy, but they remind us what a privilege it is to care for such incredible people. Every resident who becomes part of our home leaves their own unique mark – through their stories, humour, kindness, wisdom, and friendships. They become part of the very DNA of our home, and we are better for having known them. Their legacy lives on in the memories we share, the lives they've touched, and the community they've helped to shape 🪽

As always, our residents have embraced life to the fullest this week! We've enjoyed scenic boat trips, been thoroughly entertained by nature walks and wildlife, baking and made the most of the beautiful weather with outdoor chair dance sessions.

From meaningful conversations to shared laughter, every day has been another reminder that joy can be found in the simplest of moments.

Thank you to our wonderful residents, their families, friends, and our dedicated team for making our home such a special place. Every smile, every story, and every memory adds another chapter to the story of our home, and we are so grateful to share this journey together. ❤️

Today we're celebrating an incredible 20 years with someone who has become so much more than an employee – you've become part of our family. ❤️

For twenty years you've stood by us through the highs and the lows, always bringing your loyalty, kindness, hard work, and unwavering commitment. We honestly can't imagine the place without you.

It's people like you who remind us that a business isn't built on bricks and mortar – it's built on the people who give it their heart every single day. You've done exactly that for two decades, and we are beyond grateful.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, and for believing in us for all these years. We hope you know just how loved and appreciated you are by everyone here.

Our residents have been keeping active and having fun with some gentle chair exercises, enjoying a few friendly games of bowling, and of course celebrating a very special birthday together! 🎳🎉🎂

There’s something truly special about this time of year 🌸

Our lovely residents have been making the most of the beautiful spring weather, spending time out in the garden and getting creative with some wonderful flower arranging. From enjoying the fresh air to sharing smiles and stories, it’s been a joy to see everyone embracing the colours and calm that springtime brings.

These moments are what it’s all about—connection, creativity, and a little sunshine ☀️💐
