Hi Everyone 👋

My name is Rebecca Stoker and I am the Careers Adviser for Turriff Academy. I am here to support young people with their next steps.
Whether it is choosing subjects, exploring college, university or apprenticeships, looking for a job or training opportunity, or simply not being sure what to do next, I am available to provide one-to-one support and guidance.

If your child has recently left school, it is also worth knowing that we at Skills Development Scotland will get in touch to check everything is going well. I can also continue to support young people after they leave school, whether that is with applications, finding opportunities, or deciding on next steps.
If your child would benefit from support, please encourage them to speak to me in school. Parents and carers are also very welcome to get in touch if you have any questions.

THIS is what community looks like 🌈

We’ve been working quietly behind the scenes…
Building, planning, fundraising, listening…

And now we can finally say it 💛...

We are opening fully funded counselling spaces.

This hasn’t just happened.
This exists because of:

✨ Our dedicated counsellors giving their time, care, and energy
✨ Our families who trust us and share their journeys
✨ Our community who donate, fundraise, and show up again and again

Without you, this would not be possible.

💬 These funded spaces offer up to 6 counselling sessions
💬 A chance to feel heard, supported, and understood
💬 A starting point when things feel too much

With the option to continue at our part-funded rate of £30 per session if needed.

✨ But we want to be real with you…
Demand is high, and these spaces are limited.

There will be a waiting list —
👉 And the sooner you’re on it, the sooner we can reach you.

We also offer:
• Part-funded sessions – £30
• Fast access sessions – £60 (for quicker support)

💛 This is what happens when support is made a priority, not a privilege.

📩 Want to join the waiting list?
Email us at [email protected]
Even if you’re unsure, you’re welcome to reach out 💛

If you’ve ever donated, shared a post, attended an event, or supported us in any way…
This is your impact. THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU!

We want to hear from you about how you use your local Community Hospital!
Aberdeenshire is fortunate to have 9 Community Hospitals delivering a wide range of services to people across the area and we would like to know your thoughts and experiences of using our hospitals and the services delivered.
To make sure we are using the resources we have in the best way possible we are undertaking a strategic review of our Community Hospitals and will be holding 9 events - and we'd love to see you at one of them!

• Banchory: Town Hall, Wednesday 8th October 3-7pm
• Fraserburgh: Community & Sports Centre, Thursday 9th October 3-7pm
• Turriff: Gateway Centre, Monday 27th October 3:30-7pm
• Peterhead: Rescue Hall, Tuesday 28th October 3-7pm
• Huntly: Stewarts Hall, Thursday 30th October 3-6pm

Can't make it along? Fill in our online survey https://engage.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/community-hospitals-in-aberdeenshire

The review was agreed to allow us to build a strategic delivery plan for how we deliver community-based health services for our population over the coming years. There was no budget savings attached to this review other than a 2.5% budget reduction which is a standard saving applied across all budgets.
