The anxious mind is looking for evidence and certainty but sometimes it will find it in imagined scenarios. 🧠
For example.... ⬇️ (save as a reminder to you)
You're off out for a good night out, there's an alleyway your need to go through......
Your anxious brain might see a dark green snake in that alleyway and experience intense fear...... you're not walking down there are you?
But what if that dark green snake was actually just a discarded hosepipe? 🤔 what if the mind has created threat when there isn't any?
Avoidance is keeping us stuck. Whilst we don't need to start wrestling snakes, we do have to work with them. Real or imagined. 😉
