🎒 Back to School 🎒
As children head back to school, it's normal to experience a mix of excitement, nerves, and big emotions. Returning to routines can take time, so be kind to yourselves and remember that every child will settle at their own pace.
✅ Get back into regular sleep routines
✅ Allow extra time for busy mornings
✅ Talk about any worries and celebrate the positives
✅ Remember, it's okay if the transition takes a little time
Wishing all children, families, and school staff a happy, successful, and positive start to the new school year! 🌟📚✏️

It’s September, that means starting school! 🎒

We’re wishing all children, but especially those starting Reception, a brilliant year ahead. ✨

Starting school is a big milestone, but it's the small, everyday moments, like getting dressed independently, sharing, getting along with others and being able to talk about how they are feeling, that will give them the confidence to settle in at school.

Remember, you can visit Best Start in Life for advice and tips that will help your child feel prepared for school. Or speak to the school or visit a Best Start Family Hub if you have any worries.

September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month. Swipe to learn the key symptoms of the five gynaecological cancers, so you know what to look out for.

You know your body better than anyone. Knowing what’s normal for you can help you spot when something changes.

Having any of these symptoms does not mean you definitely have cancer, but it’s important to get checked by a GP.

Visit the Cancer research UK website for all the information you need about Gynaecological cancers and how they are treated⬇️

Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer, so it’s important to take up your invitation when it arrives.

If you’ve missed your cervical screening, the NHS may invite you to take a HPV self-test instead. If invited, you can order a kit, take your sample at home or somewhere private, and return it free by post.

You can’t opt in to HPV self-testing – if you’re eligible, the NHS will contact you.
