14th June – World Blood Donor Day

Every year, countries around the world mark World Blood Donor Day ❤️ It’s a chance to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to thank the amazing people who give blood to help save lives.

Having access to safe blood is a vital part of any healthcare system. It helps make sure patients get the care they need when they need it most 🩸

The theme changes each year to recognise the selfless donors who give blood to help people they may never meet 🤝

7–15 June is British Heart Week ❤️

A time to raise awareness of heart and circulatory diseases, and the impact they have on millions of people across the UK.

Heart conditions can affect anyone, at any age. They’re one of the biggest causes of death, but small changes can make a big difference, from staying active 🚶‍♀️ to eating well 🥗 and knowing your numbers like blood pressure and cholesterol.

It’s also a time to support the incredible work of the British Heart Foundation, helping to fund life-saving research and provide support for those affected ❤️
