Working together to create more choice and control 💛

Last week, Nikki and Paige represented Millennium Support at the ISF Provider Alliance meeting, hosted by Dimensions in Wakefield.

The ISF Provider Alliance brings together organisations including Dimensions, Mencap, Choice Support, KeyRing, Self Directed Futures and Millennium Support to collaborate, share learning and raise awareness of Individual Service Funds (ISFs).

Together, we're exploring how we can help more people understand the benefits of ISFs and make sure the people we support get the very best from them.

It's an exciting opportunity for Millennium Support to be part of a regional conversation about the future of personalised support, while building strong partnerships with like-minded organisations that share our commitment to helping people live fulfilled lives.

A big thank you to Dimensions for hosting this month's meeting. We're delighted to be welcoming the Alliance to our Nostell head office for the next meeting in October, where we'll continue working together to shape the future of personalised support 🙌🏼

Protecting rights and promoting independence 💛

Good support doesn’t just cover someone’s day-to-day life. It covers how we protect their rights, respect their choices and make sure every decision is made with the individual at the centre.

As legislation and guidance evolve, our teams continue to learn, adapt and review best practice to make sure the people we support receive support that is not only safe, but also person-centred and legally informed.

Every person is different, which is why decisions should never be one-size-fits-all. We believe in listening first, involving the people who matter most, and always working in the least restrictive way possible to help people live fulfilled, independent lives.

It's all part of our commitment to delivering high-quality support that evolves alongside best practice and continues to put people first 🤝🏼

Learning disabilities are often misunderstood, and one of the biggest myths is that they’re rare.

In reality, millions of people across the UK live with a learning disability. It’s far more common than many people realise.

Which is why awareness, understanding and inclusion matter so much.

Because when we move past assumptions, we create a world where more people are seen, supported and able to live life on their own terms 💛

Yeehaw! 🤠

Sunnywell recently saddled up for a rodeo-themed celebration for Learning Disability Week... and what a day it was! ⭐

It was a day full of the moments that matter most; spending time together, trying something new and making memories with friends.

At Millennium, we encourage everyone to have fun, be part of their community and celebrate life in their own way.

Days like these might look like a party on the surface, but they're also about building confidence, creating connections and making sure people feel seen, valued and included.

A fulfilled life is built through experiences like these, and a huge thank you goes to the amazing team at Sunnywell for organising this brilliant day!

Fulfilling lives 💛

What does it really mean when we say we “fulfil lives”?

It’s never just a phrase - it’s found in the everyday moments that matter to the people we support.

A meal out with friends, a walk in the park, building the confidence to try something new.

Feeling listened to, feeling included, feeling SEEN.

Sometimes, what looks like a small moment to somebody else can mean everything to someone we support.

To some, it might just be a haircut.
To us, it’s confidence, independence and another step towards living life on your own terms 🏆

That’s what fulfilling lives means to us 🙌🏼

July is Disability Pride Month 💛

At Millennium, pride isn't just something we celebrate once a year, it's woven into everything we do. Supporting people to live in their own homes, pursue their interests, build friendships and make their own choices isn't just our job. It's our belief that every person, regardless of their needs, deserves a life that is truly their own, and lived to the fullest.

Disability Pride Month is a reminder that difference isn't something to overcome. It's something to be seen, respected and celebrated.

The importance of Community Enterprise 💜

At Millennium, we love discovering the potential of the people we support and unlocking it.

That is what our Community Enterprise is all about 👏🏼

We offer a wide range of face-to-face, group and virtual community-based sessions, from football to singing, designed to build confidence and meaningful connections into the lives of those with learning difficulties, autism and mental health needs.
