The Dispensary Dispensing good health in Whitby since 2012. A community health initiative based on Skinner Street! The Dispensary is not what you would imagine.

It’s more than just a health shop; it’s a futurehealth shop. What’s the point of nurturing your body if your job or your environment is making you sick? Or, you feel you have no voice in your community, or you can’t meet with people or take part in activities which you feel give you meaning. Future health is about social, economic and cultural health as well as the purely physical. The Dispensary Dividend:

Everyone who registers with The Dispensary can get a Dispensary Dividend Card or number (if you live outside Whitby) which enables you to earn 5% credit on every purchase you make online or in our shop. You can redeem this credit back against future purchases - so why not make use of it regularly to give yourself some money. Or, save your Dividends over time and treat yourself once in a while! 🙏 AN EVENING WITH LAMA LHAKPA YESHE

📅 Wednesday 16th September | 7–8pm
📍 The Dispensary, 25 Skinner Street, Whitby

We’re delighted to welcome back our friend Lama Lhakpa Yeshe, a Tibetan Buddhist monk, for a special evening exploring compassion and its place in everyday life.

Lama will give a short talk on compassion, followed by a guided meditation and an opportunity for questions and discussion.

🌿 Everyone is welcome – no experience of Buddhism or meditation is needed.

There is no charge to attend. Lama does not charge for his teachings and lives through the generosity of those who support his work. Voluntary donations are welcome on the evening.

OUR REFILL SERVICE AT THE DISPENSARY - stock your holiday let the ethical way
Many of you use our household and personal care product refill service here at The Dispensary, but did you know we can also supply businesses such as holiday lets?
We can refill many products such as household cleaning, washing up liquid, hand wash, and shampoo and conditioner.
There are many benefits to refilling, such as less single use plastic, sustainability, cost-effective for regular restocking, ethical, quality products, easy to top up.

DISPENSARY BOOK CLUB
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH 6.30-8PM
AT THE DISPENSARY, 25 SKINNER STREET, WHITBY.
Everyone is very welcome to join our Dispensary Book Club. The book we are reading at the moment is The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne, who incidentally is appearing as a headline guest at the Whitby Literary Festival this November :)
It's a very friendly, informal group, and we'll be meeting next on Monday 14th September 6.30-8 p.m. at The Dispensary, 25 Skinner Street, for a cuppa and chat about the book and good company:)
