This morning, some of our Hope Haven staff took part in an Emotional freedom Techniques (EFT) "tapping" session for stress reduction.

EFT is a practice that combines ancient acupressure (but without needles) alongside modern psychology to manage issues such as stress, pain, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, grief, emotional eating and many other life stressors.

EFT involves gently tapping on specific meridian points on your body with your fingertips while focusing on an issue you want to resolve. Individuals can use tapping to help reduce their own nervous system. Session can take place on a 1:1 basis to focus on specific issues.

Groups can also benefit from tapping. Participants in group settings have shown reductions in stress, anxiety and emotional distress.

Hope haven would like to say a huge thank you to Julia from ICan Wellbeing group CIO and Caroline and Sally from Tap First CIC for allowing us to see first hand the benefits of tapping.

**Join us in celebrating Celia Burbush’s residency at Hope Haven**

Over recent months, the fabulous Celia Burbush has been bringing creativity, conversation and connection to Hope Haven in Whitehaven through her residency, and we’d love for you to help us give her a lovely send off.

Celia’s residency will come to an end on 19th June, so if you’ve attended sessions, or simply enjoyed spending time in her company, we’d love you to come along and say goodbye.

It’s been such a special project and we know Celia’s warmth, creativity and encouragement has meant a great deal to so many people involved.
