📣Ikigai Wellbeing sessions

Friday the 5th June is the start of our next 4 week block of Ikigai sessions.

Ikigai - is a Japanese term that roughly translates to “reason for being.” At Hope Haven we offer hourly sessions over a 4 week period, to explore areas of your life that give it purpose and meaning. We discuss things that you love, what the world needs, what you are good at, and activities that you get paid for. Over the 4 weeks we will help you to find your purpose and improve your life.

The dates for this round of sessions are:
📅 Friday the 5th June
📅 Friday the 12th June
📅Friday the 19th June
📅Friday the 26th June

⏰All sessions will start at 12.30 hours

📍Sessions will be held in the Hope Haven building, 40 King Street, Whitehaven.

If you are unable to make this round of sessions the next group will start on the 3rd of July.

If you would like more information or to book yourself a space on the course, please contact us on 01228 819101 (option 5) or send us an e-mail at [email protected].

Carers Week 2026 - Takes place between Monday the 8th and Friday the 12th June.

The theme for Carers Week 2026 is "Carer Friendly Communities", recognising the role that local organisations, services, and community groups play in supporting unpaid carers.

Here at Hope Haven, we are committed to providing a welcoming space where unpaid carers can access support, information, and opportunities to improve their wellbeing.

As part of Carers Week, we are offering the following activities and opportunities for unpaid carers:

Thursday 11th June between 2pm – 4pm

**Join us in celebrating Celia Burbush’s residency at Hope Haven**

Over recent months, the fabulous Celia Burbush has been bringing creativity, conversation and connection to Hope Haven in Whitehaven through her residency, and we’d love for you to help us give her a lovely send off.

Celia’s residency will come to an end on 19th June, so if you’ve attended sessions, or simply enjoyed spending time in her company, we’d love you to come along and say goodbye.

It’s been such a special project and we know Celia’s warmth, creativity and encouragement has meant a great deal to so many people involved.
